03/13 – A very nice BBS from the Senator today. The Croma was a good blade but tugged a little ATG. Plisson and any TOBS is a great combo.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip Brush. Two passes with my GEM 1924 SE razor and a GEM Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Edit: I forgot to wish you all a Happy Pi Day. Years ago when I taught middle school, I made this recording of the Pi Song.

 

Too bad about the soap. It IS a strange scent. But, and this is a very important point, my wife says it gets her "all hot and bothered". So, this soap has to remain in my rotation.

 

Or you could just leave out the tea, honey, lemon, cinnamon, cloves...you get the idea. LOL

 

Little light on the Bourbon aren't we . +1 on this, it really works for me.

Another wonderful shave experience with the Schick E2 Injector and TABAC soup, wow, feels so luxurious. I'm almost out of Tabac so ordered a new puck today. Aces!

 

I haven't left the house, except to let my dog out. I've had bad things happen in the past, so I don't push my luck if I can help it.

 

It's more of a guide line.

Corinne, my lovely wife said to me earlier "Jeff, sweetheart - it takes you so long to choose your soap or cream, or whatever and you always change your mind over and over again. Why don't you let me choose something which I know you'll enjoy!" So, at her urging I'll go with the Glacial Lavender which as I've said many times before is my absolutely number one favourite of all soaps. I'm so captivated by its beautiful scent, the lather explodes off my brush, and the menthol sensation starts kicking in right away with a freeze which can knock you for a loop. My skin feels so relaxed and smooth after I shave with this wonderful soap. The Gold Bond is the finest moisturizer I ever used as well, and it's so cooling and soothing. The Penguin puts its own special frigid feeling in so you don't have to worry about sweating. Maybe I'll wear an eau de toilette, then again maybe I won't - we'll see.

Long day. Had to leave in a rush so a quick 2 pass for the DFS and gone. Glad I had the Kai loaded because this blade is really performing well and gave me the quick easy shave. Hope tomorrow is as good because it starts even earlier, and today is just ending now. Due back in less than 8 hours. Sheesh! Happy Friday/Saturday everyone! No time for a picture today so in honor of the Japanese Kai..........
