Sorry to hear this. Try some Astra SP blades. or even a Generic blade from CVS or Rite-Aide. I think they are made by the same people, which I think is Wilkerson Sword. (don't Quote me on that) Remember Rule #51 "Sometimes--Your Wrong"
Those blades are weird. They give me nice performance one day and lousy performance the next day, and then again nice performance. I also don't find they have enough longevity for my tough beard stubble.
Saturday: My Stirling addiction continues! Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 6 Stirling Rosemary Mint SS Thayers Witch Hazel Mennen Skin Bracer AS This big horsehair brush is a champion lather-maker with soaps because it made the lather from this Rosemary Mint explode this morning. This soap has a very nice cooling effect as well and it also gives great blade glide. The only aspect it seems to lack slightly in is post-shave care, but it's not that far off the mark. Once again the witch hazel proved its worth and the Skin Bracer gave me a terrific menthol jolt which ended this lovely shave on a good note. Now, if I could just get our dog to leave my daughter's room I'll take him for a walk - he's a 130 lb German Shepherd who hates to leave her bedside until she wakes up!
R41 Bulldog Gillette Silver Blue Semogue BC Cerda CO Bigelow SC Alum 444 ASB Squeezed out a little extra 444 unintentionally this morning. My face is still frozen. Off to day 13 in a row of work. Only 6 more to go before I can get a couple days of downtime.

I simply rubbed the small puck on my wet beard and then built the lather right on my face. Turned slick and shiny after a bit and provided adequate cushioning and slickness for a good shave. 3 passes - WTG, WTG and ATG. Got greedy and went for a clean up on the neck and got a little irritation. Finished off with the Proraso Green and my face feels
Astra SP blades are garbage on my stubble too. So are Wilkinson Sword blades. My go to blades are Personna Lab, Personna Med Prep, Feather, and Polsiver SI. The Gillette Super Thin worked well for one shave and that was it. Well one and a half shaves.
You are 100% correct. It worked good for one and a half shaves. I don't have patience with blades that hurt me, so that one got disposed of. I'll go back to my beloved Personna Med Prep or Lab. I have around 300 of those.

SATURDAY Back to My Own Den My first shave after returning home from vacation. A low-key leisurely shave with the 'milder' 2013 R41. Two passes and I'm done. Now all that awaits is laundry and chores I've put off for 4 days. It's good to get away, but even better to be at home with my wife and sons! Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
