MONDAY
Menthol Monday

I used my Stirling menthol-cool 'Black Ice' soap this shave— a chilly, anise-scented lather that complimented the cold-watershave.
Three-passes, plus minor DE touch up. A great shave to start the week.

I didn't get a chance to post yesterdays SOTD. I was a realyy good shave so I'm going to cheat and throw it in with today's post.

This was a great shave! Pre-shave, followed by a nice hot shower, followed by more pre-shave. My beard was soft and went down without a fight. Two passes from the straight and DE got me a shave as close to BBS as you can get with out actually being BBS.

The Aristocrat wasn't as smooth as it was yesterday. Even so I am wearing a DFS with no nicks cuts or irritation. The Aristocrat just seems to pull hairs from my neck, hopefully that is technique and will go away over time...

Had to delay my morning shave because I had to kill a wasp in my bedroom this AM. As I may have mentioned, I'm mildly apiphobic, so the experience had me unnerved enough that I didn't trust myself with a sharp blade at my throat for a while. Two passes got me the DFS results I expected, and while I could have done a 3rd pass, I felt two passes were sufficient today. Between the soap and the Lucky Tiger, my face feels properly frozen; at the rate at which I use the Lucky Tiger, I'll be shocked if it doesn't get me through the decade, as a little goes a long way.

Decent shave. Very little irritation. Even with the 444, however, I'm not experiencing the painful frigidness @crackstar keeps warning us about. Guess I'll have to keep buying new stuff until I do.

 

Don't sweat it. I'd jump between my wife and a pit bull, but when I found a yellow jacket in the bedroom this weekend, she had to kill it.
