Soap: Col. Conk Almond and a dab of Prorasso ;) <--- not much almond smell left but the mix made such a slick lather
    Brush: Omega Boar 13522
Razor: Gillette Red Tip SS <--- first shave with this one, might be my new fave :happy093:
    Blade: Astra SP

2 pass + touch up and almost perfect BBS. This razor is amazing, I'm so glad everyone on here hyped them up so much because I never would have tried it otherwise most likely.

Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balsam :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

This shave was a delight from the start to the finish - the Gada Cool Mint cream lathered so richly and thickly and gave me its great minty/lemony scent, along with its icy menthol effect. The Gillette Series balsam is very heavily mentholated, and it has a great scent. The Chabrawichi 555 stuff comes from Egypt, and has a nice lemony scent, which goes very well in hot weather. ;) :D

    Llyr Stay frosty, my friends!

    Saturday:

TSD ISZ preshave balm 30 minute marinade
Soak Brush/Shavemac custom 167 2 band d01/warm up DB Original Scuttle
    Hot Shower
    Tabac shave soap
    Schick E2/Chinese Schick Blade (2)
    Cold Water Rinse
Monster Block Alum (clean hardware and software, police area)
    Cold Water Rinse
Tabac splash mixed with a pea sized amount of 444

I'm still trying to get a handle on these Schicks. The E2 is probably my lightest razor and I think I'm overcompensating.I did a 3 pass face shave,2 WTG 1 ATG and a 1 pass ATG headshave. It was a lil rough starting but I found the right angle and it smoothed out pretty good.I did get one head weeper that closed up during my sink rinse.I also got a nice Alum burn that let me know that I should have listened to my own advice.Don't overshave!!! I should have done a 2 pass face instead of 3 much like I do for the Cobra Classic and other aggressive razors.Still despite the alum burn I have no razor burn or iritation BBS all around and I can't find the spot where the head weeper was.So all in all a good instructional shave.

    Today was a good one!!

Pre: Hot water face wash w/ Aramusk soap
    Cream: Arko Adventure
    Razor: Yuma
Blade: Derby Extra Super Stainless (4)
    Brush: Col. Conk 904
Post: Cold water rinse/ Lea AS Balm

The Aramusk soap was a free bar sent with my order from shaveabuck.com......its a good scented soap for sure.....just wish it had a bit more moisturizing capabilities like my Dove Extra Fresh. The Arko Adventure is a great smelling cream and lathers nicely! The scent reminds me of a Speed Stick scent...its definitely an energizing scent like they say...just awesome! The Derby blade for day 4 has yet to fail me again...another BBS finish! The Yuma is now in a higher slot of my top favorite razors. The Lea AS balm by itself instead of adding the Superior 70 like yesterday.....the balm im guessing has a bit of menthol in it....it cools nicely!! And leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized!

    Prep: Hot shower
Lather: DVH "Extra fris" - face lather
    Brush: Muhle Black Fibre
    Razor: Valet Auto Strop VC1
Blade: Gem PTFE (6); 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum (reform)

I used the strop I picked up for the Valet and I have to say that I noticed a smoother shave today compared to yesterday. I'm beginning to think that this is one of the best all-in-one razors ever made.

    Fatip Grande Open Comb
    Crystal blade
    Proraso SC
    Omega Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea ASB
    Mennen Original Skin Bracer

Received the Fatip Grande last night so I'm looking forward to giving it a go this morning. I really like the heft of this razor! The Chrome fit and finish isn't premo quality but no worst than some of the Merkur's I've experienced. I pulled the trigger on a Fatip Piccolo with a polished nickel finish last night. (Someone said they ordered one and the nickel finish was nicely done and better quality. Can't remember who it was but I'm taking his advise on the nickel finish.) At any rate, these Fatip's are pretty nice razors for the price and.....they don't make them anymore so.... best to get them now before they run out. lol

Pres-shave: Hot shower, wife's hair conditioner
    Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
    Brush: AOS Best Badger
    Razor: Merkur Sledgehammer
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (1)
Post-shave: Warm water rinse, cold water rinse, witch hazel

This was my first time using the Bolzano blade and it was great. Smooth and got rid of my almost 2 day stubble without any problems at all. I did get a couple of weepers, however, on my chin on my ATG pass, but they closed up pretty easily. I also nicked my neck, bu that was my fault, not the blade's. Early this morning while getting back to sleep after dealing with our 2 month old, my wife felt my face and commented on how smooth it was. NICE! Have a great day everyone!

All that's nice about vintage German razors. Well made blade, simple, good steel that takes a fine edge, just a little shaving machine. Excellent shave. I have another 3 pin, bone handled Bismarck Razor Works I might just tune up for tomorrow.

    Proraso White Soap
    Simpsons Berkley 46, face lather
Gem Micromatic, with Gem SS blade
TSD ISZ splash, and Proraso ASB

This was a fantastic three pass DFS+. Very smooth and cool. Had the bathroom to myself this morning and I really took advantage of it. Took my time and had a nice relaxing shave. Didn't have to rush and I didn't have to be anywhere for a couple of hours. Just great.

    Have a great weekend.
