Jim, when I read pillars and that razor I started to get worried. I'm glad you used it. The case, mirror and the little brush is almost worth the price.

You have to go way back to the ads for the Shulton Old Spice. The music of the jingle was led by French Horns and followed along by trumpets.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20170520_175410.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss
    Razor: Gillette Superspeed Flair Tip
    Blade: Lord Stainless
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: L&L Mayflower
    Post: L&L Mayflower A/S

Had a great shave. Surprised at how little soap was needed to whip up a bowl full of lather. The scent of Mayflower is a nice floral without being too feminine. Not sure about the individual notes but it is a great floral mix. Protection was top notch as with all L&L products. Finished off with a sample of the matching splash, has a nice menthol effect without being too strong. Plus I really like the restrictor they put on these sample bottles (good job L&L) so it is easier to monitor how much you apply. Very happy with today's shave results and hope everyone had a similar experience.

Hold on to that Country Club Cahaba Blues soap and use it stingy-like because I don't know if Kevin wants to make soap anymore (and Cahaba Blues is sold out and might stay that way). I am buying soap to stock up from him for the custom shave kits he's made soaps for, and I'm trying to convince him to keep making soaps. I'm extremely happy with the soap quality of the ones he's made me. I can't say enough about how accurate his nose is with the scent matches he did for me too. If he stopped making soaps, it would be a big loss to me. I will be ordering additional soap from him just in case. I can't afford not to have reserves of products he made for my kits. I want these to last decades if possible. He's as good as Chris Cullen IMO when it comes to the regular shave soap. I enjoy both of their products thoroughly. Cullen's vegan croap soaps though are better than nearly everything out there, however, Chris said he doesn't make them much because of the time they take to cure before selling. He can't just make the vegan croaps quick and sell them. They take time.

Regardless. Kevin might renew his soap making, we'll see. What do you think about his soap? It's great huh? I love what he made me. Oh and he said the reason he's thinking about not making soap is because he has a hard time keeping up with the orders because he's got a small operation that he can't work at as much as the orders require. He was selling more than he anticipated.

I know that the Modéle 77 it's the most valued but I have a soft spot for those modéle 42 with the bakelite handle. They're absolutely lovely. Yours are in fantastic shape, félicitations! ;)

I still think that is one of the best shave brushes I've ever seen. It's just such a great design and artistic shading and coloring. It's boss man. It takes great pictures too.

Yeah, Peter's best work is when you don't put many restrictions on him. I love how it accidentally matches the soap label here.

Thanks for the review. Since I am the only one in the family that likes scary movies, we'll pass on this in the theater. Everyone in our house is pumped for Pirates now so that will be our next venture! I'm with you that the first Aliens was the best. I tried to watch Prometheus on a flight to Paris but could not stay awake and never saw the whole movie. I always fall asleep on planes! I will need to go back and watch it.
