Saturday Gillette Old Type Bull Mastiff Voskhod (1) Rooney 3/2 Super Castle Forbes Lime Cream Witch Hazel Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum I was given a CF sample sometime last spring. It performed well, but I didn't get much of a scent from it. It was also much more dense then any other cream I have tried to date. The brush worked well, but it is still a bit large for my liking. A fresh Voskhod in the Old Type was a nice fit this morning. Nice shave overall.

When I first started to shave at the age of 14, this was the cream I started with, and when I moved to Canada, it was practically the only thing I used for 35 years, or perhaps longer. I still cannot understand why it was discontinued. I still have some tubes left, but I want them to last as long as possible.
Saturday, May 21, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: 1954 Gillette Ball-end Tech Blade: Astra Superior Platinum Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Cream: Cyril Salter Sublime Citrus A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Taylor No. 74 Victorian Lime Splash I thought I would blow the cobwebs off the Tech and use it this morning. The result was an excellent, refreshing shave! The only thing about the Tech that I don't particularly care for is the short handle, although this is because I've become used to longer handled razors. The Tech remains a fine razor, simple and compact--good for travel.
