Great shave today with the smoothest result I've had in the short time using a DE. First time I've used T&H soap and it produced a wonderful slick lather letting the razor glide over my face smoothly. As close to BBS as I've come so far.

Same blade/razor combo as yesterday, today wasn't so rough so I suspect the issues from yesterday were due more to the KMF then anything else.

I actually tried today's shave with the Iridium Super that started pulling on me yesterday. It actually performed well. I think that it just lost some of it's edge after the first couple passes and I was noticing that, but it shaved well today.

 

Gillette NEW // Feather (1) // Merkur Moustache Razor // Arko & TOBS Rose mix // Tweezerman // Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS

I got the Gillette NEW from Adeptus Minor in trade last month and finally threw a blade in it and gave it a shave. It's a nice, smooth razor, though I have a feeling the Astra blade might work a little better in it. The Merkur Moustache Razor is my favorite little useless razor. I'd love to use it more often, but the Merkur blade it comes with is completely miserable. Since nobody else makes blades for this thing, it may become a show piece until I can figure out how to put a better edge on those tiny, miserable blades. The Arko/TOBS Rose mix produced incredible lather. Arko on the face, a squeeze of TOBS in the brush, and I was rewarded with excellence. I'm a little iffy on the Clubman Classic Vanilla. I may experiment with it and throw some menthol crystals in. As it stands now, it's merely ok. The scent fades into something nice, but a nice little icy menthol hit may push it into the "like" catagory.

I found it on ebay. I was on a long hunt for one after hearing rumors of their existence, then found 3 different models in a month. This is the only one I still have. They are out there. Often it is hard to tell if they are slants or not from the pictures.
