Danny, have you ever tried the Proraso Aloe & Green Tea soap in the white bowl? A beautiful scent with plenty rich lather and even better skincare than the Green bowl. Not as much of menthol, but still pretty cooling. If you cannot get it in Chicago, let me know boychik!
I've never tried it but have been tempted by it, I think you just concinved me to get it with my next order. Thanks for offer, but I'll find it. I've seen you talk about the old Proraso Red tube as well-that sounds nice, too bad they don't make it any more. It went the way of Noxema SC, Iridium blades, Astra Kerimac blades, and a lot of other great stuff. The graveyard of great shave items.

Monday, May 02, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: Merkur Progress XL Blade: Treet Dura Sharp Brush: EJ Best Badger Cream: Proraso A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash This morning's shave was BBS, using one of my favorite blades. I think Treet Dura Sharps are a tremendous bargain when purchased in bulk, performing better for me than certain more expensive blades. I get about 5 shaves per blade without pushing it, similar to Astra Superiors, another favorite. The Dura Sharps are carbon steel, but I have not had any trouble with them rusting. Today's shave was a double pleasure, because Proraso is one of my favorite creams.
Gillette Parat Voskhod [2] TGN Silver tip Badger Erasmic Shave Cream Nivea Sensitive AS Balm Pinaud Clubman After having used it several times, my initial feeling on the Erasmic still remains unchanged. It lathers up great, feels great on the face, but doesn't seem to offer much in the way of protection. I shave a little more cautiously than with other creams and soaps, but I always seem to come out with a more burn. For now I'm taking it out of the rotation, I'll pick it back up in a while and see how it does.

Menthol Monday MASSACRE!!! Everything was starting out so well, I put a new Astra SP in my Merkur Long Progress, trying out the Irisch Moos for the first time, supered up with CO Bigelow and some M-Bomb:freezing, It was like butter! So smooth I shaved off an ingrown hair bump:shocked003 It must have taken 15 minutes to get the bleeding to stop. I still managed to finish it off with my super Menth Head doctored Adidas Dynamic Pulse:freezing:freezing
May, 2 Monday is coming, so why not to use my beloved straight? 8/8 W&B restored by Glen Paddle strop Vie-Long horsehair brush Wilkinson sword soap in a blue bowl Ceramic bowl Cold water rug It was nice and I'm happy I switched to evening shaving!
Noah, that a long time ago happened to me. I had an ingrown hair on my right cheek, and I forgot about it because I was enjoying so much the shave. I swear, when I cut that ingrown bump, I felt so much pain, and I had so much a cold sweat, and then my throat became tight, and I began to choke. :sick007
Yes, the worst thing was that it wad going soooo good, like it was shaping up to be one of my best shaves yet!
