Each day so far, my shaves have been getting colder and colder. This Awakenings soap has such menthol power which hits you like a ton of icy bricks. It also has awesome lather and a great scent. The Gillette balsam and the Alt Innsbruck maintain the freeze very well. Beautifully BBS again! ;) :D

    Prep: Hot shower, AoS PSO
Coffee: Maxwell House French Roast, BLACK
CD: The Essence of Muddy Waters, disc 1
    Soap: Vintage Old Spice
Brush: Ever Ready 250PB with original knot

SE: Schick Injector E model, touch up
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Dickenson's WH, Old Spice cologne, toss blade

Lousy blade. Rough shave. The Schick saved it, though. Not bad after a touch up.

Not much to look at but a fine shaving Swedish straight. I've been doing one pass shaves this week and could easily get away with it but the brevity of the shave seems to make it less enjoyable, maybe just less of an experience. Have a good one.

Tried out the TOBS sandalwood I got in a trade yesterday...Ughhh. Think my face might not like something in the scent! I enjoyed the light sandalwood scent and the lather is incredible, but I got a mild stinging after the first pass. The stinging was not there with the alum, so I'm thinking it was the cream.

Thanks! I like this model year of the R41. It was great but, then they changed to the face-eater in 2011! lol

The R89/Weber is a great combo that provides excellent shaves. The Clubman SR is a lame substitute for the Pashana ASL but, it's similar. I really hope they (whoever they are) makes the old Pashana available again!

Seems sandalwood has a bit of a reputation for causing irritation.

I must admit, I was a little apprehensive to try the slant, due to its "aggressive" reputation. But, it was the smoothest shave I've had in quite some time! looking forward to using it again tomorrow with a fresh Wilkie blade.

    Wednesday's shave:
    image.jpg
    Razor: Merkur slant
    Blade: Treet
Brush: Fred Dickinson and Gilroys LTD. travel
    Pre shave: Proraso white
    Lather: speick soap
    Aftershave: Clubman

The Treet was rough yesterday, but today it felt very smooth but very dull. I slickened up my lather a bit, but it was still skipping all over the place and I refuse to bear down with the slant. I'll give it one more day, but I don't think this one is a keeper, at least not in this razor.
A little rough about the chin, but I'm still happy with the result, my face feels great.

Sweet! How you like the TOBS Grapefruit? Is it more of a sweet/pink grapefruit scent, or the more sour white grapefruit?
