Is that the 12.5 oz. Clubman?

    Thank you.
I haven't shaved with a Slim in many years, but I find the C plate to be similar to a Merkur 34C or EJ DE89.
The D plate is more efficient, but both plates are quite smooth.
I can only surmise that the D plate might work better for you. You could just get both plates as an extra plate is only $30 CDN which is extremely reasonable with the currency exchange being in your favour. :)

    Razor: Personna Floating Head
    Blade: Gillette Twinjector (6)
    Pre Shave Oil: DIY
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    AS: Mennen afta

I built a really good, nice bowl full of Proraso lather, applied to my face. Now comes the rub. I had previously bought a Dollar Tree razor, I wanted to compare good/evil, ( to appreciate what I had in my den). Needless to say there is a new tto razor in the waste basket. I`m the kinda guy who takes a long time to give up (good or bad). I actually shaved a full pass, WTG, cut myself twice, it was like pulling the whiskers out. Switched over to my favorite set up and received a near perfect shave, lucky me. Two nice passes, WTG/ATG with a small amount of touch ups. I do have some irritation left over from the Dollar Tree fiasco. Right now, I feel great and good to go, happy shaving and God Bless

The cooper Bakelite is reaaaaally light. It also seems like it can be over tightened. If you screw on the handle too tight the gap closes up on one side if you loosen it up it opens it up. Lol it almost acts like an adjustable to be honest. But it’s a mild shave and after a few passes I got a bbs shave. I did get some feedback and a weeper but that’s ok.

    Parker Variant
    Silver Star blade
    Omega 10066 boar brush
    VeraSoapCo Peppermint SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

Another dandy shave from a Parker and my face is happy. It also amazes me how different natural brushes work compared to synthetics. Did the same amount of loading but only got barely enough lather for 2 passes. Using a synthetic, I would get enough for 4 passes. Oh well. Now go enjoy your day folks.

How would Aqua Velva look inside an old Old Spice decanter.? But now that I think of it, those should be reserved for Old Spice.

Most OS decanters are opaque, so you can't see the contents of them anyway. I have an OS telescope full of Clubman and you'd never know by looking at it.

Oh, OK. I'm not that "creative"....if I get a decanter, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas(I can't believe I said that lol).

The best shave yet from this razor and I think it's because it's my first SE shave in ages and I'm using the right length blade.
Injector blades are slightly too short and AC ones are too long, so a pair of tin snips to the rescue.
After using mostly travel brushes recently the 2000 felt a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut but a thoroughly enjoyable shave ensued
    Happy Shaving one and all.

The way it is for Friday(pardon the partial Cronkiteism):

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Sport)in shower\
    shave-Gillette Foamy Menthol Cream
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Plus Pivot Incredible DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Avon 4 Men Maxwell '23 Tribute**

    **
Best way I can describe this one is to say it feels like a "sweetened version of Skin-Bracer". But I've enjoyed it.

I looked around for the Stubble Trubble shave soap. Looks like they're not making any soap right now. I wanted to try it out. And I just got some Proraso Green Aftershave that I bet would work great with that soap.
