Today was a day of firsts. My first shave with Voskhod blades, first with an open comb and first with an aggressive razor (0.74).
Everything passed with flying colors. As the immortal Tony Stark would say, “It’s not enough to be against something. You have to be for something better.” And this is better than anything I have used.
After my second pass, I only needed a touch up to get a BBS shave. Don’t get me wrong, I felt the alum in a few spots but with the fact I was using a new, aggressive razor and blade, it's a minor detail. I am looking forward to using this combination again.

My current Block Hand Soap is of the lavender persuasion.

 

If you dont like banana scents - this will be bad for u - cuz its banana on steroids

 

I NEVER tried OUD spices - did not realize it was a Old Spice Vibe - now u got me interested!

 

My mom said I loved bananas as a little boy, but I sure grew to hate them. I'll cross Rabid Banana off my list

 

That's my favorite of the Barrister&Mann scents.

Rabid Banana Intergalactic preshave cube, PAA Solstice soap, Green Ray/Tribble synthetic brush, DGE razor loaded with an Astra blade, Dapper Doc aftershave.

A fun and colorful shave.

 

First use of the SuperMax BDT in my reference Shake Sharp v1.0 (in my usual twin configuration) . First impression is smoother than the Karve-D and at least comparable in efficiency. I think I'll add the C plate for the Karve and see how that fares, but if the Karve doesn't best it I really don't imagine I'll find anything that does.

I have good news and I have bad news, which first? OK, the bad--- the beautiful, highly touted OneBlade Core just isn`t for me. It requies 3 passes, my meds run out before I can finish, to heavy (for me) too mild(for me). I don`t like the handle, the top is too wide to shave WTG under my nose, I think the loading device is fantastic, which is the only pro I can find. The good news is they will let me return it, with full cost.
Today`s shave was 2 passes, WTG/ATG (OneBlade) and a finish clean up (Guard), a cold water rinse, applied afta AS, for a BBS. Goid Bless.
