Yeah you hit it on the head with that beauty. I remember this photo now that you have reposted it. Good stuff Matt. The question now is how was the movie? I may go tomorrow if it rains early - but only after a shave. No shave today. Was too busy and I am bummed but did some car waxing and detailing all day. I wanted to get the gang out for ice creams but I'm pooped now. Enjoy the long weekend!

I was in the Cleveland Metropark Zoo yesterday with my wife and daughter before heading back to Detroit. Small but very green and well kept. A good time but even being small, we were on a tight schedule and only had a couple hours to get in and out and wish we could have seen the rain forest exhibit. I remember from a visit years ago it was a done fairly well and relatively new at the time. Maybe next time. I have a sample of Forest City Fern and agree it is a great product. Enjoy the long weekend.

If this knot was set 5mm lower it would possibly be my favourite boar brush, as it is, it's a wee bit floppy but a pleasure to use all the same.
The Sabre enjoyed the slickness of the Proraso and my skin enjoyed the splash.

love that fluted tech handle.i use mine now with all my tech heads.similar weight to the ball end but grippier..mine came with an nos 53 canadian militery set.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #292 High Mountain White badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem Damaskeene Razor with a CVS Carbon Steel SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Solo is good storytelling. I enjoyed it at least as much as Rogue One. While Solo is a much lighter story, it's quite gritty. There are nods, but it doesn't depend too much on nostalgia. There are excellent performances by all, but if there's a stand-out, it has to be Donald Glover's portrayal of Lando. He even sounds like him. It's uncanny! Fans and non-fans of the franchise, will likely enjoy this one.

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds to load the Cowboy Classic/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” NEW Chromium in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman aftershave.

a wonderfully lush, abundant lather... I have no knowledge of the previous base, but this one is stunningly impressive.. finished off with the equally stunning Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve, and Xerjoff Fars.
