I would call it a medium. Not floppy but resilient enough to stand up to a good scrub.

Thanks Gary. If I had a Hall of Fame for shave products No.63, soap and balm, would be in on the first ballot.

    SOTD:
Todays shave was another speed shave using the reitzer perfect shave, definitely a soap which will always be in my rotation, one of the best lathering soaps i have ever used. I could definitely see this stuff being a huge success overseas, especially considering its low price point which cant be beaten.

Had one nick today, lesson learnt, when speed shaving always feel around you face for any bumps or blemishes. I didnt apply any pressure but i shaved over a blemish and nicked myself although its all healed up 12 hours later since it was a night shave again.

The feather performed well on shave number 32, its now being moved to the aristocrat while i test out personnas in the super speed, ill still use the feather once a week until the end of its life though.

Razor: gillette super speed flair tip (UK)
    Blade: feather hi-stainless (32)
    Brush: dischem synthetic
    Soap: Reitzer's perfect shave
Aftershave Balm: Dave's home made balm[IMG]

    Eskimo Tuxedo
    Jayaruh #360 Synthetic
    Ever-Ready Lather Catcher
    Gem Blue Star CS SE
    CWR
    Florida Water

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #360 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the GEM Push-Button fitted with a GEM Super Stainless blade. Excellent, creamy lather from the Arko shave stick. I finished with Fine L’Orange, smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. :happy088:

    •Schick silver T-II handle/Super II adjustable cart
    •Barbasol menthol

    2 pass BBS.

This is hands down the best cartridge of this type that I've ever used, and I've used lots of them. Slide the adjuster to Low and you can barely feel it; throw it over to High and it's got just enough friendly bite to make for an enjoyable and very efficient shave, plus it rinses out completely. Stumbling across a case of these would be nice; I'd donate every other cart I have stockpiled.

a/s: Dollar Tree Power Stick Beard Balm (U.S. made, very nice stuff). Later, some Barbasol green spiked with extra menthol.

    Pre-shave prep: shower

    DE-razor: Merkur 38C (closed comb)

    Blade: Gillette 7 o’clock BLACK

Brush: YAQI 26mm Timberwolf (synthetic) with blue barber-handle

    Shaving soap: Stirling NAG CHAMPA

    Lathering: bowl lather

Finish-off: WWR, CWR, cold water compress with shaving towel, Humphreys Witch-Hazel Cucumber & Melon

Aftershave balm: Musgo Real Classic Milk

I love this strong scent of “Nag Champa”.

I don’t like the scent of the “Cucumber & Melon” witch-hazel. Fortunately, it is a 2-ounce sample only. I shall stay with the “Original”.

    L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Wilkinson Long Handle/new Rapira
    Palmolive Menthol SC
    Prep ASB
    Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdT

I had to change the blade because I couldn’t take it anymore from the 7 AM. The damned thing was irritating me so much and giving me bad razor burn so it’s obviously not a blade for this particular razor. The new Rapira felt so much smoother and comfortable so I was able to breeze through my shave easily and I got a terrific BBS result. These days I rarely use creams, but this Palmolive Menthol is one that I plan to keep in my rotation because it’s so good. I love the minty scent, it lathers great, and the menthol sensation is really cold, especially during the second pass. It felt heavenly to massage my face with the Prep and then to splash on some of the Krampert’s Frostbite. Madame told me I smelled so nice when I sprayed on the Bleu de Chanel. It feels so good to be smooth as silk again!

    Have a lovely Sunday!
