SOS: May 2019

SOTD:
Today was a gorgeous shave, i found a new technique for using balm and aftershave, ill share it in a separate post, but for me it works great.

Awesome shave from the Wilkinson sword TTO and the feather, the feather is definitely starting to struggle with cutting through the thicker stubble, theres still no tugging but it will now definitely be retired at shave number 40, its currently on 35 .

The bundubeard 250g coffee soap is an absolute jewel. It produces such creamy protective lather, and its even better with the new Wilkinson boar brush Sav sent, absolutely fantastic stuff!
The bundubeard and other local artisan soaps are national treasures, they're as good if not better as any foreign artisan soaps and incredibly good value for money in most cases even cheaper than mass market soaps.

As for the aftershave, i never ever get tired of old spice whitewater, absolutely fantastic scent.

3 passes for an overall BBS finish.....just ruined by a small cut under my nose. It was entirely Operator Error and I should have known better!

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Extra Performance Shave Cream face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. I did two passes with the Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Despite this Rapira blade being on its last legs it helped me get a terrific BBS shave, but I had to do some touching up everywhere. The Kudu soap is something my friend Jaco should be proud of because it’s an absolutely brilliant item from A-Z. I love its delicious coffee/peppermint scent, it lathers like a maniac, and the menthol sensation feels so good. A good massage with the Prep cream followed by a couple of splashes of the Rubby Dubby Doo and I’m good to go. Smooth as silk!

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds to load the Maggard 2-Band Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette “Spoiler” SS still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with YSL Country Club Classic Fougere aftershave.

Let's Play Two
This shave was so good the other day, that I wanted to use it again. No preshave this time, and it was superb. The baseball is signed by my baseball hero, Mark Fidrych. He inspired me with his sheer joy and love of the game. I'm hold I got to meet him.
