Saturday SOTN

So many razors and not enough shaves... After much debate, I brought out the Ikon El Jefe and Feather Professional blade. MWF was very good even with a cold water shave tonight. Although even in the furthest back position, this razor is still moderately aggressive but not uncomfortably so. 2.5 passes and I'm smooth and ready for church tomorrow. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend including Mother's Day everyone.

Although this is my least favourite of the three, all the Micromatics deliver the goods.
The Flying Wing just takes a bit longer to get there.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Arko Extra Performance Shave Cream face lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A very good shave which I enjoyed a lot but for the family and I it’s a very sad day. Today is the first anniversary of my Dad’s passing and I’m feeling very down. We’re going to the cemetery so I can say a couple of prayers over his grave.

Brush:- Muhle Synth. v2.0 Silvertip Fibre Faux Horn 25/60mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Wholly Kaw ~ Merchant of Tobacco
Razor/Blade:- Colonial General SS / Schick Proline P-30 #1
Post-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20), Tea Tree Antiseptic (10), Lavender (15) & Peppermint (10 drops)
Fragrance:- Proraso Wood & Spice

OMG!! I've missed my Colonial General so much, glad to bring this baby out for a shave using the Schick Proline SE blade and the shave is very smooth.

No need for a long write up. The gear says it all. Shovel head and italian soap!

•Cooper three piece/Iridium (2nd pass)

2 pass BBS with no problems, now shaved completely clean for the first time in over a year (the 1912 took off the goatee just fine).
