Excellent photo Gus. Dig the almost watermelon colors. You asked about the Lupo and I guess I posted in the wrong month. The Lupo was great on the maiden voyage. Only one shave, but after doing this long enough, I am a pretty good judge of what to expect. I was hoping the 0.95 would not be too aggressive for me to use on a daily basis and it seemed fine. No roughness, and my face did not come close to any razor burn. Just a smooth sailor. I’ll see how things go this week but so far so good brother.

Razor: Gillette old type with a tech fat handle, Mfg 1920's, This razor always humbles myself because the previous owner's did not have much because the handle was held squeezing the connection on a round ball handle with paper jammed in there to help give the operator some hope of a shave. As can been seen used a lot and yet the bottom is like new. Bought in a _bay razor lot.
Blade: Gillette Astra SS (2) excellent blade, Sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Razorock Lavender [IMG] nice bold lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Chianti's 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips + gentle scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]excellent shave with my Gillette old type with a Astra SS blade.

    START Shave Cream
    Jayaruh #403 Synthetic
    Wood Handle Enders Speed Shaver
    Schick Proline B20

    Aqua Velva Musk

The START Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #403 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Wood Handle Enders Speed Shaver razor with a Schick Proline B20 injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SATURDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:

Razor - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Double Open Comb Ascension (316L Stainless Steel Adjustable)
    Blade - [IMG] *6th Shave
Brush - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "The Green Ray" *Faux Horse Hair
Preshave Soap - PAA Cube with Dock
Shaving Soap - Razor Emporium "Citrus" and added in Mentholated Crystals - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - The Chill Mill
Post-Shave - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Alum Block
Aftershave - Thayers Witch Hazel *Mentholated
Post-Shave Balm - Advanced Clinicals Anti-aging Hyaluronic Acid Cream
    Fragrance - Issey Miyake "L'eau d'Issey Eau d'Eté Summer 2009"

**Edit - 2 pass shave. Very smooth. I untwisted the razor handle a half-turn to adjust it to be more aggressive. It mowed through the stubs like they were nothing. I decided to put some menthol crystals on my brush and face-lathered in the menthol. It worked out great without needing to bowl lather it. The shave was a bit aggressive so I got one side of my throat a bit irritated so I went to the alum block to treat any over-shaved spots. The mentholated shave was a perfect choice. My face feels great.

The scent of the legendary Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Summer 2009 fragrance is possibly the best warm weather fragrance ever made. This flanker basically is a lighter version of L'Eau d'Issey with more lotus flower, that classic yuzu citrus and a very light hint of what smells like white pepper and seems to have removed the nutmeg and saffron notes. It's fresh but it's also beautiful while still leaning masculine. Other "Summer" flankers from other years just don't have the same magic as the 2009 version, hence, why so many enthusiasts rave about it. It's expensive to buy on ebay and is of scarce supply. I am lucky enough to own 2 bottles of it. I only pulled the trigger to buy it after getting a sample from another enthusiast. He sent me samples of Summer 2009 and Summer 2013 and the original L'Eau d'Issey to compare. It was clear to my nose that the hype was real for the 2009 version. So I went ebay hunting and got a few bottles.

    Hi guys

A quick comment on the Gillette 195. Head Shaving is akin to shaving a chin in 3D so it takes fair amount of trial and error to adjust to the various nuances. Where I struggle to shave is the top of my head....until this morning! I dialed up the aggressiveness to 6 and wtg I was completely smooth on one pass!
As for the rest of my head and throat I'm enjoying my best shaves ever. Summing up my experience using the 195: Just wow!
