I knew it wouldn't last...
I was awakened by blinding sunshine: and I had moved here trusting in the typical northern mists…
I cheered up with some of the best lavender I've ever smelled, though: the scent of the soap, after shave, and EdT seem made for each other.

Williams Wednesday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Soap
SlimGem Silvertip Badger
Stoll Jr. Lather Catcher
Personna GEM SS PTFE
Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB
The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with The SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Stoll Jr. Lather Catcher with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Wednesday morning’s Grand Freeze:
Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Schick day 10
Master Soap Creations Peppermint Lime SS
Master Splash Creations Citrus Melody AS Splash
Not only am I BBS after three glorious passes I’m
absolutely frozen solid - this Peppermint Lime soap smells beautiful, it’s a fantastic latherer thanks to the tallow formula, its menthol sensation is a force to be reckoned with, and it’s so skin friendly. The Prep took great additional care of me and the Citrus Melody aftershave froze me to smithereens - man, does it ever smell lovely also. What a tip top shave!
Enjoy your day and your shaves - be well and safe!

It is interesting what you are doing to use the old method of re stropping a blade with glass, I did something similar 2 years ago and a carbon blade is the one to go with. I did not have one to use so I used stainless steel blade.
Nodachi-Prismatic/Feather. I feel a little guilty messing with the precision Tatara...but not that guilty, Prismatic is simply too much fun, audible feedback and efficiency with no discernable penalty.

Captain's Choice travels continue taking us to...
The first day of the Captain's Three day voyage: 45th Parallel
Brush: Parker Synth Brush
Bowl: Shave Nation
Lather: Captain's Choice Venture Soap
Razor: Gillette 1959 E4
Blade: Feather (1)
Post: Shavex Alum Block
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
Balm: Captain's Parallel
This one was a bit problematic for me in that I struggled to make a good lather. It was literally bonding to the razor.
I suspect the issue was with the guy actually creating the lather so I'll give it another go tomorrow. It has a nice fresh scent that is great for summer!
Here's the ledger for Thursday(13th):
prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(Infinite Fresh)in shower
shave(soap)-Central Texas Soaps(Down At The River)
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot Plus DisposeABLE
Razorock Lupo .95 & Gillette Platinum
Knothead/Dragonsbeard 26mm Tux Dark Resin
Grooming Dept. Incense&Rose soap
Razorock Tuscan Oud a/s splash
Acqua Di Parma Oud eau de parfum
As good as it gets. A wonderful evening and shaves to all....
