    SUNDAY'S SHAVE

Bath Soap - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    [IMG]
Razor - GEM 1912 Travel Model (Sold to me by Jovraljr.)
Blade - Personna GEM Stainless Steel Coated *5th Shave
Lather Brush - Everyman Jack Synthetic
Lather Bowl by Freida of the Etsy shop ASfreidaturns
Shaving Cream - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Aftershave - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Deodorant - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac
    Cologne - Mäurer & Wirtz - Tabac

***EDIT - 2 passes + clean up. Very smooth. I seemed to have opened a small pimple on my jaw line. I used my Clubman styptic pencil on it. I decided to put on some of my Advanced Clinicals Hyaluronic Acid Cream as a balm since my skin felt a tad dry after I put on the splash. The Tabac scent really comes across as classic but is very clean.

Razor: 50s Gillette Tech Ball Handle

Blade: 50s Gillette Blue Blade (1)

    Cream/Soap: Barbasol

Aftershave: Witch Hazel, followed by Aqua Velva Classic followed by Nivea Men Sensitive Aftershave Balm.

The Gillette blade* is an NOS from the 50s. It shaved like a hot knife through butter. Do NOT underestimate these blades. I got careless thinking "It was old, so it's probably dull". No sir. Got three cuts on my neck. Damn fine shave, but god, I butchered my neck.

    2021-05-02, Sunday

After last night's rain. when I went out, it was cool and gray.
When I got back it was sunny and going to last all day: but couldn't it have been sunny last night and raining today?

But when I shaved, the weather was perfect and so I put my hands on a Valobra, now vintage, which, strangely enough, still retains its scent.
I suppose that the Genoese nature induced the Ligurian soap-maker to save on the quantity of perfume.
Maybe I suffer from anosmia, but Valobra are the best scentless I have ever come across.
But the performance is really valuable and the Teutonic machine is really fantastic!

And I found myself pleasantly smooth.

A great early sunrise shave. The Slim performed flawlessly in getting my face stubble free in 2.5 passes. Gave myself a bit of irritation just under the chin & jawline touching up on the final pass. No fault of the razor just my overzealous attempt to catch them all. That’s where the Hemp Seed Mist comes in. It’s been a secret of my Wife’s skin care routine and said I should use it when a shave may go wrong. She was spot on as this stuff is pretty darn good for calming and moisturizing the skin. Excellent stuff. A wonderful day and shaves to all....

Grazie, Sergio. The soap is the old tallow version with real Mysore Sandalwood. Excellent, triple-milled product is a very nice bowl.

I doubt you are anosmatic, Sergio. My C&S soaps have a decent amount of smell. I would remove the puck from the tin; grate it up with a cheese grater and press it back into the container. That might release some of the trapped oils. Just a thought.
