Sunday May 30th SOTD

Forgot to post my shave this morning... it was a really great one. I’m glad I stuck with the Hiram! I think it’s going to remain a permanent staple in the den. The Palmolive was a good change today.

Pre-shave:- Cold Shower
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- Semogue SOC 2 Band Finest Badger in Taj Resin 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Tabac
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34G / Gillette Minora Stainless #2
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)
Fragrance:- Tabac

 

Bottom dial Fatboy w/Bic Chrome Platinum blade


Turned the dial up to 8 this time. End result the shave wasn't much better than when set at 6. Just crossed the BBS finish line. Time to give this unicorn a break for a bit so as to not overload on the awesomeness.

Not only am I as smooth as silk, my face is frozen solid - this Frosted Lavender soap packs such a wicked menthol punch, the scent is gorgeous, the lather is awesome, the slickness is perfect because of the tallow formula, and the skincare is wonderful. The Prep and the Arctique were a great way to finish off. What a brilliant shave this was!

Mighty fine shave to start the day/week with. The Tech is mild but effective and I really like all the other parts as well. My face is happy to say the least. Now remember those who sacrificed that we might have the blessings of this great country.

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #222 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Custom Wood Handle Enders Speed Razor with an Enders Speed Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
