The razor & blade duo was absolutely fantastic....Super smooth and efficient...I wasn't sure if the Derby Usta would pair together with R41, How wrong i was. They paired together excellently...Wow!
The Nivea Men Sensitive Pro shaving cream provided an excellent lather with little effort.

A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No.10 EdP to the chest & pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

The Sheffield Cast Steel French Point blade on this old Boker indicates manufacture prior to the German Import Tariff of 1879. In any case this old girl is one heck of a shaver. While the Huntsman crucible steel process doesn’t hold an edge as long as the harder Swedish, Yasuki or Tamahagane will, the touchup last night restored the buttery smooth edge I remembered. Three slow passes with my favorite “Traveling Wilbury’s “End of the Line” playing in the background left my mug glassine smooth.

While my focus is admittedly vintage shave tools, I’ll never get rid of my Christopher Bradley safety razor by Karve Shaving. The OC_F plate never fails to delight. Most of my dome-shaving safety razors are vintage, and like many of us in this hobby, have far more than I’ll ever need. Despite PIF’ing and selling many, it’s my regret over the sale of the modern Cobra Classic AC razor three years ago that fuels my reluctance to unload any more. What a fabulous shaver that was! The Karve OC_F plate always reminds me since the shave is quite similar. In any case two ATG passes and I’m velveteen smooth from noggin to neck.

RAZOR: Boker & Co. French Point Cast Steel (Mug), Karve OC_F Plate (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with Alt-Innsbruck AS Splash.

    Saturday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Wilkinson Sword/Shark day 4
    RVT Lemon Cream SS
    CutiBase Moisturizer
    Hega AS Splash
    Pe Re Ja Lemon Cologne

I owe Mo’s soaps more love because they’re so good - his Lemon Cream is vegan based like all of his soaps, this one has a nice lemony scent, it’s a pleasure to lather up with, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The CutiBase moisturizer is so soothing, and the Hega aftershave from Sweden has a neutral scent as well as a very soothing sensation. The Pe Re Ja lemon cologne from Turkey smells so nice and there’s a story behind it. I was sort of in a rush so I just did two passes but it turned out to be a terrific shave!

Wishing you all a great weekend - be well and safe!

    Cold Water Rinse
    Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #1
    Schick Stick L2
    Personna Injector
    CWR
Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick Stick L2 Razor with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Greencult safety razor with M plate loaded with a Feather.
After I tested the S plate (mild) and L plate (aggressive), it was my turn today for the M plate (medium-aggressive).
Well, what should I capitalize? In principle, I personally get along with all 3 records.
Although the L plate needs a little more attention against the grain, the S plate, on the other hand, is almost foolproof and the M plate is more in the middle.
I also had a clean result with the M plate. Since the head is also new and has been revised, I would like to emphasize here that the Greencult with its 3 plates (coming around July/August) is a clear alternative to many other stainless steel safety razors.
We can't wait to see what the end product will look like. So far the 3 plates and the new head are prototypes.

Sorry James-someday I will learn the ropes of doing pictures in here, but someday isn't today. It's a nice-looking brush-yellow&tan handle, black&yello knot. Not too big in size.
