An unplanned Shave this morning but need to pass some time while waiting for phone line to be sorted. Historically cart blades never lasted me a long time, and though this shave was comfortable enough, the finish shows that the blade is past its best,

Menthol Monday:

A relatively mild dose of menthol because I had to hurry up and shave. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor who operated on my hip.

Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave

The Ingram Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Tech Slant Razor and a Gillette Nacet Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Micromatic Clog Pruf, Peerless model- Mfg 1945, mid range, well designed and built to last many generations. This is one of favorite Micromatics of the 3 Micromatic base models that where produced for decades. Had a close comfortable no issues shave this morning with a historical excellent razor .
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(8) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade for handling.
Soap : La Toja stick, very mild scent with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Artic sky" 24mm 3band silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Amici splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMCP with a coated Gem blade.

Can't beat a shave with Williams SS, at least that's the way I feel about it. All the parts liked each other and a fine shave was had. The Weber DLC seems to be a rare thing now. I like mine and think I'll keep it. Now go enjoy your day folks.
