Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC with a Milano 316 polished handle-Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range- simple clamping system, small head parts. Very affordable and it delivers consistent results 95%> of time for myself. Daily driver for some folks.
Blade : Schick proline p30- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Good combination with the Yaqi Excalibur razor IMO.
Soap : TOBS sandal wood cream, nice herbal sandal wood scent 6-7/10 + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 24mm Tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Brush was named after the famous Cathedral in Barcelona Spain that I visited years ago.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandal wood + a dollop of Geo F Trumper Sandalwood skin food.
Results : 1-10 dial - Copy (2)2 template 10.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur razor with a Schick proline 50mm coated blade. Very enjoyable shave this morning even with a lot of wildfire smoke every where in our Province of Alberta Canada, terrible year for fires & we need some rain ASAP!

A nice 3 pass shave this morning. I find that this razor needs all 3 passes to get it where I want it. Not as efficient as the NEWs from the same company in the same decade. A stunner, though!
    Have a great day all.

I'm able to get a decent lather from it, but the lavender scent has all but disappeared.

The old time Yardleys, depending on how they were stored, can get dried out. I have three different bowls and they rock out some terrific lather.

That's much appreciated, Gary, I know how much the Techs play an integral part in your den.
This was the first shave one on the Platinum/ Tech and it was an extra-nice shave. There are blades that are easy on my neck with the ATG pass and others not so. This is one of my favorite Russian blades. The Tech held it at a comfortable angle.

    Friday Shave

    Lather: PAA CK-6 Scentsless soap
    Brush: PAA Green Ray
    Razor: Henson AL13 V2 +
    Blade: PAA Platinum Strangelet
    Post: PAA Mysterium Serum, unscented
    Cold water shave :Animatedfrozensmily:

This was my first use of the PAA Platinum Strangelet blades. The packaging has the characteristic retro-sci-fi comic book look that is the PAA trademark. The blade was not bad, sort of medium in sharpness, similar in feeling to the RK Stainless blades that Henson sells. I like those well enough, too. This blade felt a little bit rough during the first pass, but much more comfortable in the second pass, and post shave my face feels good with less irritation than I sometime get from the sharpest blades.

The other PAA products that I used were great, as usual -- they are part of my frequent rotation.
