Old Fashion Soda aroma is like shaving with Root Beer or Sarsaparilla soda. This one reminds me of drinking Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve Root Beer back in my younger days and to my understanding, Henry Weinhard has been sold numerous times in the past thirty years. Henry's Private Reserve was my favorite beer and Root Beer back in the late 70's through the early 200's but hard to find here in Boise since I moved here in the early 200's.

 

Thank you Guy....I thought about making this my next one...never shaved before with a soda-type scent. Good reviews, apparently.

This morning I was in the mood for a soap with a nice coffee/peppermint scent so I selected the Kameelperd. The glycerine formula gives it terrific lather that’s so thick, rich, creamy, super slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation is not for the faint of heart - in fact it’s Glacial strong, and is it ever skin friendly. The Stoffel balm is another bona fide face freezer, and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave smells delightful not to mention how cold it is. Sensational is the word to describe this shave!

Here my Shave of the Day (22.05.2024)


Razor: Blackland Vector // Blade: Feather Pro Super // Soap: Sudsy Soapery Lavender & Peppermint // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: Alum - Thayers WH - Loccitan Balm

After using the Feather Pro Super in my RazoRock Hawk, it was time to try it with the Vector. Man, what a difference a blade makes…Not that the Vector is not thoroughly enough with the „regular“ blades, but the Pro Super topped it by far.

Lots of bladefeel but the shave was smooth and gentle as with the other blades. It felt not more or overly aggressive. But this blade almost makes the Vector to a „one pass shaver“. Very impressive.

The brush had no problems with this wonderful smelling soap. It had tons of glide and cushion. Wonderful product.

After two passes i was BBS, plied the Alum (which had almost no sting to it) and after rinsing i threw on some Witch Hazel followed by this Balm. Pampering myself. What a fantastic scent….immerdiately you feel like you would walk through the Lavender Fields in France. Awesome.

Great, enjoyable shave and nothing other than a 10 out of 10

Fabulous shave brother!

I think you would love the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave - it’s a treasure. Not only that, it’s witch hazel based so it never stings or burns and it can be shipped to the States without any issues!

This razor and its OC twin are such perfect shavers, I barely use them anymore - it’s so forgiving and predictably great. No challenge.

But if all I want is a relaxing, peaceful, BBS quality shave - out it comes.
