The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #464 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Auto Strop A2 razor and the modifid Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A sunny but breezy day here on Long Island had me longing for slightly warmer days ahead. I wielded Alpha’s Guido for the second time and to will on warmer weather I broke out a sweet, fruity, warm set from Aion in Mallard Oud Fruit.

Having not shaved in two days I went with the OC on the Guido. Is it probable the shave was smoother with the OC and two days stubble? Well probable or not it is possible! It was the second use on this Voskhod blade and these two pair very well together. The OC plowed through my stubble easily and efficiently and although more blade feel than the SB no more rough in anyway. The Guido has given me two amazing shaves now. Once with each plate! I am confident in saying that it may be the best price to performance razor I own. Amazing!

Needing that little extra to sweeten the day I went to Aion Mallard Oud Fruit for the first time.

The scent notes according to Aion:
This scent opens with the sweet, juicy smell of ripe tropical fruits like mangoes, lychees, and pineapples. A warm, rich touch of honey blends in, adding a smooth, golden sweetness. As it develops, creamy vanilla comes through, soft and comforting, balancing the brightness of the fruits.

From the tub the sweetness of the tropical fruits jump out at you. The sweet is strong and it stays that way through whipping up a lather. Thick, rich, creamy lather jumps out of Aion’s creams. And they provide a wonderful slickness and pillowy cushion for me. The splash has my skin feeling supple, smooth, and soothed. The tropical fruits are absolutely perfect for bringing about a summery frame of mind. Pina coladas and small umbrellas dance through my head as I sit here now enjoying the wonderful glow that I have from today’s shave.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

I really like the Proraso blue shaving cream it creates a nice creamy slick protective lather with only a small amount in a short space of time. The residual slickness is excellent leaving a superb post-shave from the addition of the Aloe Vera and vitamin E making my mature skin feel soft & moisturized after the shave.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton-Lloyd Essentials No 17 EdP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.
