Early morning shave,

Another smooth comfortable shave to finish my shaving week off with out any issues... throughout the month revisiting the Wilkinson Sword Classic razor two piece has been a pleasure to shave with.

The two-piece design of the razor makes it easy to load the blade, covering the full blade with no exposure of the blade edges a brilliant safety feature especially for shaving sensitive areas without the risk of getting cuts & nicks from the blade ends which is a great bonus for me when i first introduced myself to the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.

I haven't used the Faena soap for literally donkey's years.. it was just a dried out lump in the tub.. so, after a long bloom, the D01 whipped it into a fine luscious lather.. it was a very old basic base with plenty of tallow, which left a very nice post feel, but I found it a bit lacking during the shave, and unfortunately I overworked the shave in a couple of spots.


Shaving.. to be enjoyed, not endured.

Man oh man, does this Kameelperd soap ever freeze the smithereens out of you - it’s easily a match for any of the Stirling Glacials. Do I ever love its beautiful rich coffee/peppermint scent, it’s glycerine based but its lather is so thick, rich, slick and protective, the menthol sensation is POWERFUL, and it gives wonderful postshave care. The Stoffel balm is another bona fide face freezer with tons of moisturizing and soothing while the Northern Elixir aftershave has a bitter cold menthol kick as well as a nice eucalyptus/peppermint scent. Three passes eliminated my tough stubble and left me smooth as silk - what a brilliant shave this was!

The Old Spice Original Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Boar/Badger Mix Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ming Shi Adjustable Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
