Happy Victoria Day! This morning's shave was great! The blade felt a little rough, but it turned out alright. Everything else about the shave was excellent!

 

That is a dangerous looking razor.

Great shower this morning. I seem to have standardized on olive oil soaps and the very informative article by richgem 'enabled' me to buy some shampoo bars. They are actually very good. I am becoming almost as obsessive about my hair as I am about my shave. (I dont have much.....so I have to look after it!) This morning I wanted to use my new Cobra Classic....but I dont think that can be rushed, so I will save that for later in the week. As usual ....the Feather AC SS delivered. An excellent 2 pass with touch up shave

You know, it's not as bad as it looks. Good technique, light touch and proper skin stretching and you'll have a great shave. One thing, you never have to wonder if the blade is sharp.

Another week of great shaves to look forward to!

Hot shower is the best way for me to start the day.

Today's soap choice Ginger's Vanilla Mint Bowled lathered with the "Omega Mighty Midget. Gillette Gold Tech loaded with a Gillette Blue 7'oclock. (Day 2) Two passes delivered a exceptional DFS.


Post shave RazoRock Alum and Osage Rub

 

Monday.

• Prep: hot washing cloth, rice bran oil marinade
• Music: Vangelis & Irene Papas, Odes
• Brush: Wilkinson Sword badger / boar
• Soap: Tabac stick
• Razor: GEM OCMM
• Blade: GEM stainless, hand stropped (#2)
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

Really smooth & comfortable DFS++ (just under the jawline some wiskers left).

Really nice and relaxing shave - very smooth and close too. Must retire the blade, though.
