    Good morning.

As I received in yesterday’s mail the Futur which was ordered last Friday (the relevant post & pictures will follow either today or over the weekend in the Haul thread), I decided to take him for a spin today. And tollowing ingredients surrounded the Futur’s first live action this morning and made him feel right at home:

    Calani Lavender Shave soap
Mühle Travel shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Feather blade (3rd shave for this blade at the Gym – confusing it is at times, having 2 Dens)
    Alum block
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

Very nice, I must admit. The Futur feels very solid and well built. I had dialed it up to 2 for this first shave, will spend some time with it over the next week or two.

Wishing all of you a great weekend!

    Thursday Night.

Used a Schick Type B1 repeating magazine razor for the first time.
    Schick platinum injector blades
    Hardright vintage badger shave brush
Trumper's Limes shaving soap in the bowl
Stainless steel vintage shave bowl I picked up at the thrift store yesterday, decided to use it in honor of "bowl week."
bowl lathered and finished off with witch hazel, followed with Fresh Burst Listerine for an AS.

Final impressions. A close and unforgiving shave. I've got to lighten the pressure with the old injector razors.
For those wanting to know how Fresh Burst Listerine feels- It goes on smooth and wet and you think, "hey, that's not bad at all." Then the Eucalyptus oil kicks in. "Man, that tingles!" A minute or so later- The Menthol kicks in. "Ohh Yeah, that hits the spot."
For those wanting to try it, just use twice as much Listerine as you would use regular AS. ;) They used to market it as aftershave waaaay back in the day.

    Facial Scrub
    3P Pre/Post shave cream
    Kai Captain Excelia (Japanese style)
    Semogue 1470 Brush
    Nanny's Down Home Summer Soap
Alum Block Followed by a few drops of Rosehip Oil
    Myrsol Metisol AS
    4711 EDT
    Brylcreem Original

No shave yesterday as I was out all day. My sister-in-law was carrying the Olympic flame through Hereford. A memorable day if ever there was one!!!!!
Down Home Summer is a strange name for a soap...but that is what this one is called. Its a Vetyver and Lavender combination which is described as being earthy with floral summer notes. I stopped with 2 passes today as I am not going out, and in reality I would have struggled to find anything else to shave off!!!!!

Hi all, Hows it been goning?!

Hi, Im Justin, and it's been a while since my last post.
Lately its been the same old "grind".
    Hot shower
    proraso pre shave
gillette fatboy or flare tip super speed with shark super chrome blades
    proraso green/white or MWF soap
face lathered with my trusty omega badger
    cold water rinse
aftershave has been razorock alum/ aqua velva/ old spice original or proraso as balm.
This morning I decided to change things up abit.
I grabbed the Feather AS-D1 and loaded a Feather yellow
    bowl lathered some proraso green
and did 4 passes....had to finish with the fatboy and 2 passes....the feather just isnt doing it for me....:(

    6 pass BBS :D

    Obsession for Men EDT

This was a great face-freezing shave with the help of the Egyptian version of Ingram cream. The scent and lather are pretty well the same as the UK version, but the Egyptian cream has a stronger cooling effect and a much better consistency - it doesn't separate and become watery. The Diana Sport balsam has a bone-chilling cold feeling after a shave! ;) :D

    Barbasol DE
PermaSharp Super (one day too many)
    Semogue 2000
Klar Kabinett w/ a healthy dose of M-Bomb
    Alum
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

I thought it was day 4 on the blade, but it may have been day 5. Either way, it headed south in a bad way during the shave. It started tugging and I ended with a few weepers. The 5 drops of M-Bomb in my mug really iced up the Klar Kabinett. It felt great, but slightly over powered the nice light Rose scent.

    Cold Water Rinse
Monster Block Alum (clean hardware and software, police area)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Thayer's Medicated Superhazel
Kananga Water mixed with a pea sized amount of 444

Great 2 pass face 1 pass headshave from the Cobra, the Kai's are holding up great,I hear some guys get 14 and up shaves from either the Kai Captains or the Feather Pro's.I reckon with my headshaves my 7 is = to maybe 12 shaves. The blade is still going strong no tugging and still very smooth.I've been getting BBS with just 2 passes on my face.If I make it to 14 with this blade I'll be very happy indeed :D

    Omega 10005
Super speed w/ Dorco st 301
    Colonel conk bay rum
Thayers witch hazel w/ aloe, folowed by Nivea ASB sensitive

Still getting back in the habit of shaving again had a beard for a while. I normally use a slim but has been hurting me some so the super speed has been great to get my skin back to shaving. Have not tried a Dorco in a super speed before but I do like the blade so gave it a shot. The first pass was a little rough (tugging) but next 2 passes smoothed out.
