I love this razor. A little bit too much menthol in the shower, but the rest of the shave was awesome. Sniffed around the receiving dock for an hour trying to find what had that delicious lemon smell, then I realized that it was me!

Str8: Antoni Tadross 9/16+ "the machete" Omega Pro 49 Williams Mug Soap Diplomat Classic AS Nivea Cool Kick ASG First time with the Williams, not the brightest idea for a new str8 shaver like myself to use alone. The Tadross is definitely not nearly as sharp or as smooth as the George Korn from Whipped Dog. Rough, raw, meh shave. Face hurts, mostly smooth though.
Merkur VISION/Perma-Sharp Blade/Simms Vintage overstuffed silvertip/ Franks Finest/MWF/Clubman Special Reserve Tried my hand with MWF and my Silvertip. I tried to build up some rich creamy lather on the old cranium, but the silvertip and MWF left me hanging. My hand cramped and my arm got sore, it just wasn't happening. So I cheated and used a little dab of Arko cream and got some uber Lather. The Head shave with the Vision was extraordinary though. On to the face I decided not to use my never fail #6, and opted for a Franks Finest, it's soft but offered a little more backbone than my Big silvertip does. Worked out OK, took a little longer to build than Normal but, still it got there. All in all a Fantastic BBS all over shave. Finished with Special Reserve, and now I'm ready for a nice night out with the wife. Great shaves today, Gentlemen.

Razor- Merkur Progress Blade- Derby Extra Brush- Frank badger Cream- Real Shaving Co. Classic Sensitive AS- Nivea Sensitive Balm I discovered that my local Harris Teeter sells Real Shaving Co stuff! I have to say I like it very very much; lathers up nice and marshmallowy extremely easily. Scent is so-so compared to the C&E stuff I've been using prior to this, but certainly not unpleasant. I see this becoming my daily routine. Might even start using it on the noggin, too.

I was thinking this morning why I use any other blade. The Astra SP seems to work well for me in any and all my razors.
