    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock Cumba Cheech croap
    Razor: Merkur 1904 41c
    Blade: Bic (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (7, 8, 9)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech AS balm
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

Fantastic lather this AM meant that 2-days' growth were not too much for the Bic, still going strong on its 3rd day. There were no weepers, no nicks, no irritation to be found, and the alum didn't even produce any burn. DFS+ shave all around, I'd say.

    FatBoy vs Two Days Growth
Today is a gloomy rainy day, one of those days when it seems nothing goes right. Luckily, my shave lifted me out of that rut. I tried the FatBoy against two days growth for the first time, and it was excellent. The Colonel is really an amazing brush, making me question if I had written off badgers prematurely. I'm really glad I won it, because I never would have bought one to find out, as I am happy with my synthetic. Anyway, it made awesome überlather mit Tabac cream and soap - just an optimal combo, IMHO. The razor easily cut down my stubble with passes set at nine, then seven for the last two. I finished up with Sherlock and I am ready for church to lift my spirit even further.

    Prep: warm water wash
    Überlather: Tabac mit Tabac
    Brush: The Colonel
    Razor: 1959 Gillette FatBoy
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)
    AS: Chiseled Face Sherlock

Oy vay, my friend could have never handled a menthol attack like this one - the Glacial Lemon Chill soap absolutely froze my face frigging off, and when I slapped on the Rubby Dubby Doo I almost saw stars. This shave was Extra-Mega-Super-BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-COLD and beautiful. The Derby blade is now enjoying its well-earned retirement. ;) :)

Really nice 2 pass face, skipped the dome today.Face BBS then I noticed a ghost weeper on my right jawbone, first one in a long time.A ghost weeper is what I call a weeper that goes undetected for some time.I happened to notice this one at least a half hour after shaving.

Stay frosty,my friends and beware of the ghost weeper!!!!

This brush is very dense and a nasty shedder. Well, I'll keep combing and see which I run out of first, patience or hair. Coticule edge again and a very nice shave. Have a good one.

Great near BBS 3 pass shave this morning. My first time using this brush with Mystic Water soap and it proved to be finicky as expected. I'm sure with time I'll get it dialed in.

How is the level of scent from the Haslinger? Does it linger for awhile? I've thought about trying their Sandalwood soap.
