Nice shave although the lather was a bit thin. Guess I need to accomodate to the environment... :p

    Have a great week, ya'll!

Set the super adjustable on 4 today. Had a little irritation, but the lather was thin today, I guess I didn't work at loading the brush enough. Overall though, a good start to the day.

I froze my face off again this morning and I enjoyed it so much. The Egyptian version of Ingram cream is so nice - the scent is the same as the British stuff, but the lather is richer and the cooling sensation really blasts you. For an additional chill, 444 and Alt Innsbruck will do the trick beautifully for you! ;) :D

O.K., time for true confessions, the soap today is MdC. I have a strong dislike for the original scent MdC so this is the unscented version with a little AoS sandalwood soap added to spice things up a bit. Great performance, good light sandalwood scent, very nice shave. Have a good one.

Well...Figured the only thing I could handle keeping the same for a week (newbie disease) was the razor (and even that adjusts)! Tried this on 2 for the first shave with it and found it much too mild. It seemed that I was just trimming stubble rather than cutting it off, might jump to 4 instead of 3 tomorrow (any thoughts).

    Have a great day all!

Tuesday! 2nd day on the Deluxe Desert Island
    • Prep: hot washing cloth
    • Music: whiskers being mowed away
    • Brush: DVH boar
    • Soap: Tabac
    • Razor: Gillette flare tip Rocket
    • Blade: Max Herder
    • Shave: 3 or 4 -pass (didn't pay attention...)
    • Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse, restop blade in Allegro mod. L
    SoS 2013-05-28.jpg

I clean forgot to count the passes, so I really don't know. 3 or 4? Anyway, good enough for an almost BBS shave! Just missed a few hairs under the nose. And with a blade with at least 8 shaves under the belt. I guess the Allegro does a good job.

    • Prep: shower, RazoRock glycerine pre-shave soap

    • Brush: Omega #40033
    • Soap: Wilkinson Sword shave stick
    • Post: alum
    • Aftershave: Musgo Real Classic sample, TSD Iced Lime AS milk sample
I applied way too much soap on my face so I had some problems on the first pass. No other issues, though. Lather from the Wilkinson stick was spectacular as always and the razor felt very solid. The handle is particularly nice and it feels very secure in the hand.
