Desert island shave for Williams Wednesday (is that a thing? Can that be a thing?): The challenge here is to take seven different pictures of the same five objects. I'll have to try for some action shots. Last day for that Feather, good thing I brought two more blades.

Wednesday night on the island.... Razor: '68 Slim Adjustable (set on 6 for first pass and 3 for the second) Blade: Red IP (1) Brush: Ever-Ready restoration with 22mm TGN Super Badger knot Cream: Godrej Deluxe Lime Cold water rinse Alum block Cold water rinse Nivea Sensitive PSB I bin every DE blade after 3 uses. Wasteful? Maybe...but why press my luck and subject myself to the possibility of a bad shave? I could throw them away after one use and still save money over carts. Good thing my island has a healthy supply of Red IPs

A great, relaxing shave Monday morning: 2 pass plus touch up for BBS! Pre: Shower, Shea Moisture Facial Scrub, warm towel, Anthony Logistics Pre-Shave Oil Razor: Merkur Futur set on 2.5 Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (my new favorite in this razor!) Brush: Refurbed Honeydripper w/ TGN finest knot (I PIF'd it! - LOVED it, too!!) Day 4 of Desert Island week Super adjustable set on 6, replaced the Astra SP blade with a new one. Had a little neck irritation, not sure if it's the razor setting or the brush/soap combination. I haven't been overly impressd with the MWF.
Thursday: NXT Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/7 AM day 4 Tet-a-tet SC Tet-a-tet AS Balsam Barbon AS YSL Pour Homme EDT A shave fit for a king with one of the best creams in the world - there's a reason why I call this stuff "The Great Tet-a-tet." Its matching aftershave balsam is soothing as well as cooling and moisturizing. I cannot stop praising the Barbon aftershave for its traditional scent and strong menthol power.
5/8 Beau Brummel Dr. Selby's 22mm Omega boar knot Pretty much the stereotypical German hollow ground razor, it'll sing with the best of them. Great edge, very close and smooth shave. The Dr. Selby is a good performer for me, good protection and skin care and I'm o.k. with the scent but couldn't attempt to describe it. Have a good one.

Hello Everyone, This is the set up I am using for Desert Island Week. I love the Proraso line so that was an easy choice. The razor, an Edwin Jagger DE89L is a joy to use. Paired with the very sharp Feather blade, it is the easiest, most comfortable BBS possible. It is such a pleasure to use! The brush as you know, it one of my favorites. It is just an inexpensive best badger from Frank Shaving but the performance is excellent. I will have absolutely no trouble going for a week with this set up. Mind you, there could be some moaning if we ever have a TSD "Desert Island Month". As far as I know, the only one who could survive something like that would be the mighty wknicholas! Cheers, Lyndon
