Thanks guys, I'll give it a try. Razor and wrist in the same sentence brings other images to me, but I think I can overcome that. Happy Birthday Steve- you are 5 months younger than me to the day. Today is my sister's birthday as well as my nephew-my sister had her son on May 9th (her birthday) 23 years ago. I look forward to the coffee and await your info so I can send you some. When I start roasting my own coffee and straight edge shaving-you'll be my official mentor. I will get myself a featherweight one day, but now am looking for a pre 1912 Gem Jr. I love the 1912 one but heard the earlier ones are better. I just had to send one back that I got on the Bay-the prong did not hold it in place. My second bad experience on the Bay. Have had a bunch of good ones so it's not all bad.

Yeah Man...Stunning, the dark wood color brings out the deep shine of the razor...And she is a beauty )...The Old Spice mug brings back good memories aswell...) Yep! I run my Fat Boy and Slim on #4 and do three passes. Makes the shave last a little longer and more time to enjoy the ride! Noticed that DE and SE shaves are very mild compared to the straights and I'm tempted to go up to #5 but that's a little too much and causes weepers if I go too fast on the strokes. Glad you liked the shot! Thought about adding a little silo doors gape to spice up the center-fold but, it being Mother's Day and all...well you know. :laugh042

:think002 Can't say why I wanted to try pairing up one of my more aggressive razors with a Feather blade? Maybe just to see how it would turn out, and that choice of razor/blade combo of course meant I would use TSD Wheat Cream.

The result wasn't horrible. Being sure to keep an extra light touch resulted in a fairly good shave, with the Feather harshness my skin doesn't care for showing up. I had some small weepers that always seem to happen with the use of a Feather.
