I can pretty much count on seven shaves with a modern Schick injector blade. This was the fifth.

    Surrey Soap
    VdH boar brush
    Schick Adjustable

A lot of people seem to have problems with the cheap VdH boar brushes shedding uncontrollably. I have two of them, and both were fine after about a week. Just got lucky with the QC on mine, I guess.

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Simpson Ehsan
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Arko Shave Stick
    A/S: Trumper Marlborough

The Ehsan is a master of the shave stick. After rubbing the Arko on my face, the Ehsan whipped up enough lather for 4 passes plus touch-up. The more I use Arko, the more I am impressed. It gives 1st rate performance for a cut rate price. GFT Marlborough was a great way to top off another BBS shave.

    Monday Night Shave

    Razor - '67 Slim
    Blade - Gillete 7 o' clock [india] (2)

Preshave - Geo F Trumper Coral Skin Food
Brush - Geo F Trumper Pure Badger
    Cream - Arko Commando
    Splash - Spanish Floid Regular
Moisturizer - Kiehls Face Cream for Men

    RATING - 5 out of 5!

Perfect shave, and I didn't expect it going in... i've been sick this past week, hadn't bothered to shave for maybe 5 or 6 days and the stubble was thick. Usually when it gets that long I'll take a bear trimmer and whack it down as short as I can... but I forgot and went ahead and did my preshave ritual (face wash, hot towel soak) without the trim. Figured what the heck, lets see how bad the shave can be. And this turned out to be one of the fastest, easiest, most comfortable shaves ever. I forgot how amazing Arko is... the only cream i've tried that competes is Proraso, but i find Arko much less drying. Normally I'll do a 3 or 4 pass shave... last night was a quick 2 pass (WTG, XTG) and a few touch ups and it was pure BBS, zero irritation. Mind blowing!

Hope your feeling better now King. As long as your shaving soap stands the whiskers up, it doesn't matter how long they are, they will be cut at the skin surface anyway. LOL :laugh042 Just crank that Slim up a notch or two! :D

Another good and smooth shave today, although perhaps with a little more effort. The Goodfella is such a mild razor, that sometimes it seems like it doesn't have a blade in it! ;) :D
