First time using a red in my EJ, it did a very nice job, nice and smooth. Also a first tonight was using the Palmolive stick, it is okay but Arko is much better IMO. Still have some minor irritation from the slant, so I'll take tomorrow off and get back to a morning schedule with the Fat on Monday.

Fine shave and finish today. Derbys always did well for me in the Fatboy, but some minor adjustments are improving this shave even more, especially in avoiding neck irritation all too common in the past between me and Derbys. First adjustment: using my preshave oil + a few drips of M-Bomb. This not only gives a great cooling effect, but makes the preshave oil perform better IMHO. I notice a whitish froth when rubbing it into my beard that the oil alone does not create. Second, I kicked up my Fatboy setting from 7 to 8. The combination of these 2 adjustments have produced 2 of the finest Fatboy-Derby shaves I have ever had back to back.

Not only is this Gada cream very cooling and nicely-scented, it's very soothing and protective because besides menthol, it also contains camomile. This shave was as smooth as silk!

Feather Popular/feather blade/tet-a-tet SC/Semogue 620/Tet-a-tet ASB

Tried the Feather popular today with the included feather blade. It was not a good experience. The razor is very lite and not real aggressive, I found myself using pressure, and pressure doesn't agree with feather blades. Only managed 1 rough pass, and quickly switched to the Vision with a perma-sharp blade to save the day. Managed an acceptable shave in only 2 passes as going for a third pass would likely magnify the damage that already took place.

As I showered my Parker Badger was on deck warming up. Today was both razor and blade change over. I choose a Gillette Tech loaded with Super Max. Soap choice was a sample. Three passes brouht out a super DFS.
I splashd Ogalla Bay Rum followed with creme Poraso. As a finishing touch I applied a couple dabs of Black English leather.
