Sunday! Prep:hot shower Brush: Omega Mighty Midget Soap: MWF Razor: Gem MMOC Blade: Gem CS Shave: 3-pass Post: cold water rinse and Proraso aftershave Great shave. The MMOC does a fantastic first pass. If I go to a multi-razor shave it would be a good choice for first pass.
Sunday: #6 Horsehair Dovo Bismarck 5/8 Mama Bear Lemon Ice SS Svoboda AS Balsam Booster Iced Lime AS Chabrawichi 555 Cologne My best shave of this whole week thanks to my trusty Dovo Bismarck and a great prep. The Lemon Ice soap delivered a nice lemony scent with such rich cooling lather, and the Svoboda balsam provided its gentle and cooling skincare. Don't let the name Iced Lime fool you - there's absolutely no menthol whatsoever in this aftershave although it is refreshing and very pleasant. For those of you who don't know, the Chabrawichi cologne is from Egypt and VERY cheap over there. It has a nice lemony/lavender scent.
5/8 Crown & Sword Xpec SC 22mm Omega knot Very nice smooth shave this morning. The Xpec was unscented but I added some lavender and vetiver to about half of it. It's my favorite scent for shaving cream/soap. Very good lather and superb skin care. I'll enjoy it while I have it because I doubt I'll ever order it again but it is good stuff. Have a good one, off to the shop.

Sunday morning. Schick E2 Injector with Schick blade (1) Omega 20102 Pro Boar brush, C O Bigelow Premium shave Cream, Topped off with cold water, Witch Hazel and Gillette Cool Wave! Cold water two pass+ for really smooth comfortable DFS! My new E2 was found yesterday at an antique store, it looks practically new, and shaved like a dream this morning. It's night and day between my other E2 which shaves rough. The great thing about the E2 is it only takes me two passes for a DFS! I've been refining my technique to two passes, and I love it. Aces!

I had a nice and smooth shave with my Union Cutlery today. It may be the first time that its square tip didn't attempt to attack me. A two pass wtg/atg shave resulting in zero nicks and only a tiny bit of irritation. The most significant thing is that it was an uneventful shave, which means that I am getting more skilled and less nervous about shaving with a straight razor. Pre: Hot shower and warm water splash Razor: Union Cutlery 5/8 Brush: Omega 11137 Soap: L'Occitane Cade Post: Cold water rinse

Gillette slim adjustable Wilkinson sword IB LE Semogue I Coloniali Krampert's bay rum Dfs today. The lather was a little thin so I'll have to work on it. Fantastic smell and just a touch of cool.
What do you think about the 20102 brush? I have been giving some thought to one of them. Two passes is plenty. With the right razor and good technique you can have a near bbs irritation free shave. Any more than two passes and a little touchup is too much for me.
Sunday Morning Shave CeraVe face wash Mike's Natural Soap, unscented HIS Synthetic brush Vintage Bakelite slant with Gillette yellow blade CeraVe lotion, unscented Smooth, close, 3 pass shave. I have come to appreciate the bakelite slant. When I bought it from Italian Barber, I thought it was just a novelty, a 30-40 year NOS curiosity, a fun little razor for occasional use. It produces excellent results despite the light weight. It is effective as a slant, but I am not afraid of it -- it seems mild. Very nice. Mike's soap is excellent, of course, and the HIS brush was like a soft cloud on my face, producing plenty of slick lather.
Happy Sunday From Florida! Hot shower Green Marvy Mug Arko Vulfix 404 Ba/Bo Typhoon Dual Blade Gillette Green X2 (1) Cold water rag Aqua Velva Surf 2-Passes = close enough for the boardroom! The Typhoon is one brand of many that showed up in a box of generic razors I bought for PIF's. It. takes two DE blades stacked on top of each other, divided by a second base plate. The shave is okay, but it takes a bit of fiddling to get both blades lined up right. I do not see this being the next "IT" thing in shaving though. Have a great week Ya'll!
