Well young man, 1957 will always be remembered by me too. It was the last year the Brooklyn Dodgers played in NY.

Yea I keep a few Big Ben blades in the den. They were one of the first good blades I used when I first started. Not the best blade out there, but they are inexpensive and work well IMO.

Also glad to hear you like Aladdin's Spice. It sounds like a wonderful scent, I tend to be a sucker for dragons blood, frankinscence & myrrh, amber, patchouli, sandalwood spicy type of scents, and the name sounds interesting.

    Shave #7
C&S No. 88. I've already commented how the scent was at first off-putting; now it's one of my favorites. I can't laud C&S enough.
The quality of this soap is second to none. IMO, it ranks right up there with MWF, Tabac, MdC, and many other "high end" soaps.
I encourage every wet shaver to give it a try; either No. 88 or the Oxford & Cambridge. :happy088::happy088::happy088:
I've switched from the Big Fellow to the Feather AS-D2 and am getting magnificent shaves. Those who use the AS-D2 already know that the angle needed is very shallow---but when you find it, the Feather will mow down any whisker.
Don't listen to the nay-sayers with their "it's too mild for me" talk.
The Feather will give any face (legs, underarms...ladies :)) a BBS shave without the slightest irritation.
Finished with Rose Witch Hazel and DRH Pink. I really wouldn't mind a rose aftershave with an alcohol base.
    Suggestions, please? :signs002:
Something to kick it up a bit. The DRH is nice, but too tame, IMO.
    Have a great day!

With only one shave so far this one had more cinnamon in the shave soap than I thought. Mostly cinnamon, orange and vanilla come through. Aftershave was different with more of the myrrh/clove and touch more vanilla. Really like the Aftershave. I let the soap dry out a bit before closing it up and noticed that the aroma in the jar changed some and more like the aftershave now. Developing......

Since it is a new release I would think it would be there. Since you mentioned you like F&M, amber, patchouli, sandalwood make sure you check out his Ghost Ship, Pirates Bay, Davy Jones. His Thomas Tew use to be his best seller but below Ghost Ship took the reigns on that and Queen Annes Revenge is also quite good but was out of stock on this one when I placed my order last week. Enjoy the meetup!!

Gillette NEW (Walter) / Astra SP (1)
    Tabac
    Rubberset Vintage reknotted Silvertip
    Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel
    Tabac Cologne

This is a razor that is special to me, as it was my first vintage razor and was Piff'ed to me by Di Jones. This razor was NOS when it came to me and had the cardboard between the head and the base plate. This was the razor that opened the rabbit hole and led me to now own over a 100 razors, 50 + soaps, over a dozen brushes and 2 dozen vintage brush handles awaiting new knots. I fell in love with Gillette NEW razors when I received this one and now have 4 NEW's in the Den. My shave today was excellent, Thank you Di for starting me down this path that I so enjoy each day. Have a blessed day everyone.
