    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/new Derby
    Ingram-SC (from Egypt)
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Old Spice Classic-AS (P&G)
    Old Spice-Cologne (Shulton)

This Egyptian version of Ingram is just as richly-lathering, and with the same great cooling effect and skincare as the UK version, and the same nice scent. I wrote a review of it not too long ago, so check it out. ;) :D

    Good Friday morning all...

    Ming Shi TTO w/ 7OCY
    Trumpers Superbadger
    La Toja shave stick
    Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
    Nivea extra soothing a/s balm
    Acqua di Parma Colonia Edt

Newly acquired La Toja was put to the test and passed with flying colors. Even with the relatively soft brush I was able face lather enough lather for my usual two and half passes and get a DFS. I think it's time to retire this blade. The Acqua di Parma, a sample from a co-worker is a nice change of pace...I'm curious how it progresses the rest of the day.

I've enjoyed rediscovering some products I haven't used for a while during this week of neglected shaves. Today's was no different.

    1947 Gillette Super Speed
    Iridium Super
    Rooney 3, 1 Super
    Mitchel's Wool Fat
    Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel
The Shave Den Mayan Gold milk

Yes, I neglect the FAT because ever since I moved into this house I haven't been able to get even a decent lather from it. Today I decided I was going to figure it out, or put it away for good so I tried a few things. First, I put some water on top of the soap, then instead of draining it I hit the soap with a semi-dry brush for about 4 minutes. Then instead of my normal face lather, I tried building the lather in a bowl. No good. Next I decided to use it like a shave stick and didn't stop until I had as much soap as I would if I were using Irish Moos. With my already loaded brush I got a decent build up of lather, but still not what I expect out of a top end soap. It was a little thicker, but wasn't slick enough. I added a bit of water and it turned to a foamny thin layer of lather that still wasn't slick enough. I finished up the shave and have decided to retire my half used puck of Wool Fat.

Witch Hazel - I haven't used this stuff in a year or more. I'm going to have to keep it in the rotations...

    Thrusday night shave:
    Face: Superspeed w/Astra SP
    Head: Weishi w/Dorcor ST301
    C&E BBB
    Parie Creations Spiced Rum Stick
    Alum
    TSD Bergamot Splash

The Parie creations is a first in that it lathers better with my C&E Best than with my Vulfix boar. Great BBS shave both head and face.

    Friday Grandpa Shave/Neglected Week Shave

    Razor: 1948-50 Super Speed
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Vulfix 2006 pure badger
Cream: J.M. Fraser’s Polar Ice (very neglected)
A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, followed by Ogallala Bay Rum

Good shave this morning, but not stellar--no nicks, though. The Fraser’s cream had been sitting in the bottom of the drawer, because it’s not a favorite of mine. It works OK, but neither the Original nor the Polar Ice scent perform any aromatherapeutic magic on me, even though some folks enjoy their “barbershoppy” aroma.

That said, the Ogallala A/S provided a refreshing finish.

    Friday Grandpa Shave

    Friday

    Razor: Gillette Norfolk
    Blade: Iridium Super
    Brush: Shavemac D01 Horn
    Pre-Shave: Kell's Original Turkish Mocha Pre-shave Soap
    Soap: Harris Arlington
    A/S: Mr. Taylor

Today's shave was outstanding! The Harris soap produced wonderful lather and the Norfolk/Iridium combo is a perfect match. Mr. Taylor, as always, was a great finish.

I finally get to play on theme week, although I think I missed grandpaw shave friday.

LHSA Gillette set to 5 (neglected)
    Gillette 7O'clock sharp edge D-1
    C&E sandalwood SS (negelected)
    WH
    Mennen Cool Blue AS

Nice shave. This is the razor that I started wet shaving with over 20 years ago now. Hardly ever use it since I prefer SE and Older Gillette stuff. It still gives a great shave on 5.... which is where I always use it.

Neglected Friday - Only the Fatboy and Alum are regulars:
face: Gem MicroMatic Clog Pruf w/Blue Star
    head: FatBoy w/Crystal
    Omega travel boar
KMF Key Lime (used to be a regular until SWMBO started using it)
    Alum
    Trumper's Coral Skin Food sample

Face isn't as close as normal, but that's why the GEM gets neglected. Otherwise a great shave.
