    Omega Wooden Handle
    Dovo Bismarck 5/8
    Noxzema lather-SC :love008 :love008 :love008 :love008
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Old Spice Classic-AS (P&G) :love008 :love008
    Old Spice-Cologne (Shulton) :love008 :love008

Although I have many Noxzema tubes, I want them to last for as long as possible, because this stuff is no longer available anywhere, so for that reason, I "neglect" them. My shave was an absolute delight this morning--I wish I could do it this way every day. ;) :D

    1908 Gillette Single Ring
Magna Boar Brush (my first brush, an antique store find)
    VDH Deluxe
    Dickinson's WH
    Aqua Velva Musk

Simple two pass shave with minimal gear. The more I use this glycerin as a pre shave the more I like it. Despite doing only two passes, my face is BBS. And oh yeah, don't tell my Gemocrat buds but this razor is a bit of alright even if it is DE

Over all not that bad a shave. The Red Tip was a gift from a friend (thanks again Noob) many moons ago. It does not get much use but gives a good shave none the less.

    Good Saturday morning all...

Fat Handle Tech w/ Feather (?)
    C&E BBB
    Mem sc
    Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
    C&E Sandalwood a/s balm
    SCS sandalwood Edt

The Feather blade is going strong in the Tech...I think I will dedicate that razor for Feather blades since it works so well for me. The Mem is terrific and I was able to get a BBS shave on my face and a cueball smooth shave on my head (with two passes with the Mach 3).
I enjoy being able to take my time on the weekend to shave. Even though I spend a fair amount of time during the week, there's always that press of time in the back of my mind that I don't have on the weekend.

    Saturday

    Razor: Gillette Norfolk
    Blade: Iridium Super (Shave #3)
    Brush: Rooney SMF Special
    Pre-Shave: Kell's Original Turkish Mocha Pre-shave Soap
    Soap: Irisch Moos
    A/S: Musgo Real Classic Aftershave

This is my 2nd time using the Irisch Moos and I am impressed. I got a very creamy protective lather (much like Tabac) with a fresh scent. The Norfolk with the thrice used Super Iridium did an outstanding job and the Musgo Real was very refreshing and moisturizing.

    Saturday Shave

    Saturday, November 7, 2009

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Vulfix 2006 Pure Badger
    Soap: MWF
    A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Proraso A/S balm

An outstanding shave this morning, using some of my favorite stuff. The MWF and Futur never disappoint, and the Proraso balm just plain felt good--an excellent finish.

The Vulfix 2006, a very inexpensive badger brush, was purchased with travel in mind. However, it is a little stiffer than my other badger brushes and works well with soaps. I prefer it to a boar for travel because it dries quicker.

    Saturday Morning:

Hot Shower/Proraso Glycerin Cleansing Bar/Hot Towel
    1955 Gillette Flare Tip SS
    LORD Blade (Shave #1)
    Rooney Style 3, Super
    La Toja SC
    Italian Floid A/S
    Vaseline IRML Lotion

WHAT A SHAVE!!! The La Toja never ceases to amaze me. I get a great lather every time and a great shave every time. As a bonus, it also leaves my face feeling extremely smooth. This was my first time using a LORD blade. LORD is a company out of Egypt. They make a few razors as well. The blade itself was mediocre. I got a decent shave out of it regardless, but it won't be a replacement for my beloved Swedes. The flare tip Super Speed seems to get me a bit of a better shave than my trusty 40's styles. It may be the lower profile head that allows me to get into those tough spots on my neck a little bit better. Italian Floid provides a fantastic cooling finish and I'm off to conquer the world!

Back to my normal rotation. I used the Futur on 1. After using the mild Gillettes I realized that the Futur on 1 should be plenty and it was.

The 1805, which I've had for a year and a half generates the best lather out of all the products I use. yes, all and it's almost gone...

After taking much of the week off shaving, I decided to go with something I really neglect, straight shaving. Unfortunately I don't think there is a decent edge, it pulled really bad, it was uncomfortable, so I switched back

    Heirloom Apprentice
    switched to
Champagne Lady Gillette w/Lord Super Chrome
