    Monday Morning:

Hot Shower/Proraso Glycerin Cleansing Bar/Hot Towel
    1958 Gillette TV SS
    Bolzano Superinox (Shave #1)
    C&E BBB
    GFT Coconut Oil SC
    Jade East A/S
    Vaseline IRML Lotion

First impression on the Bolzano blade is that it is pretty decent. One of the better blades I've tried. The last time I used my GFT Coconut, I followed it up with some Clubman Bay Rum as a finish and it burnt the dickens out of my face. I figured it was the Bay Rum but today, the Jade East provided the same burning sensation, just not as bad. Perhaps I was wrong to blame the aftershave. Maybe the GFT is what's causing the issue. Everything else went fairly well today. A few troublesome areas on my neck and the corner of my mouth but those were there before I shaved. Jade East has a very fine scent and matched up pretty well with the Coconut.

    Good morning, Gents

    Turkish boar
    Connaught shaving violet SC

First run with the CS violet. Finally a good violet sc without added colours. I don't like much fragrance in SCs but with this I would wish there was a little more.

    TEN NOV.
    2009.
    3:45 A.M.

    Wash: Tabac Bath Soap
    Razor: Gillette Fusion
    Lather: Tabac SS, SC
    Brush: C&E Best Badger
    Splash: AV Ice Blue.

    ...

Decided not to go through with previously set up plan and roll with this one. No question proper lather beats canned, but I'm starting to like pivoting spring-loaded catridges.

Pre Shave: Yardley Lavender, Sweet 3 oil/glycerin
    Cream: WARS
Razor: Gillette 3 piece Open Comb
Blade: Feather (New blade, first time using one):D
    Brush: EJ Pure badger
    A/S: Clubman A/S
    Balm: Trumpers Sandalwood Skin food

Really nice smooth shave, one rough spot I couldent quite get but didnt want to risk a weeper or razor burn on the neck since its my fisrt time with the Feather, and slight razor burn around the upper lip. A/S and skin food took care of it..

Them Feathers are sharp, seems like it was a bit aggressive in the 3 piece..however it was stil a nice shave. First time with WARS also and that was nice as well, have to try it a couple more times for a fair review. Thanks Pauldog!!

The Super Speed/7 AM is a fantastic combination, if you want to get BBS quickly. 2 quick passes, and I'm as smooth as silk. By the way, Florena is an amazing cream--I absolutely LOVE it! ;) :D

Really nice shave. This is probably the most ergonomically comfortable razor I own. You've seen them, great big round bakelite handle, look like a stubby screwdriver. Great shaver too. Two passes and a touch up on the neck. Running a bit late this morning.

    Good Tuesday morning all...

    E.Jagger Chatworth w/ Super Max (1)
    Semogue 1305
    VDH glycerin ss
    Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
    444 a/s balm
    Floris Vetiver Edt

First time with the Super Max blade, a very good first day shave. The VDH glycerin always works well. I finally figured out how little 444 you need to do a good job; I had previously been using too much which left a tacky feel on my skin. The Floris Vetiver is terrific; I wonder why it has been discontinued.

Cream: Musgo Real in vintage Old Spice mug

Osage Rub + Witch Hazel = a yummy sort of mint candy. What a lucky accidental find!

    Tuesday Shave

    Tuesday, November 10, 2009

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Badger
    Soap/Cream: Proraso cream
    A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Proraso Splash

Wowee!! Great shave this morning--that Proraso tingle is just what I needed. I should use Proraso more often. It produced great lather and plenty of it.

The Proraso A/S, used after the WH had dried, produced an added tingle and an excellent finish.

A surprisingly rough shave this morning. I hadn't used a Gillette Platinum in a while and so I expected a great shave... I don't know what happened.
