The P74 continues to amaze and delight. I almost have to check and see if there's a blade in there if not for the obvious visual and tactile evidence of whisker removal.

The P74s are amazing blades. The best DE blade ever made in my opinion. I am on day 12 of the one I am using and that includes a daily head shave so that is an equivalent to 24 days of face shaving only.

    Razor: Mergress Long Handle
    Blade: Bolzano
    Brush: Omega Silvertip 6420

Post: Alum stick, Aloe Vera Toner, Gold Bond Lotion
Aftershave: T.O.B.S. Jermyn Street Afterhave Lotion

Late posting. My shave today was outstanding. No nicks, no cuts, no weepers. The Bolzano Blade was smooth and sharp. Thanks to a trade for blades with @maltedmilk I was able to try one. They are excellent blades but maybe a bit pricey. Hope you had a great shave today.

Got this bottle from Amazon.com. They have a lot of the "hard to find" frags like RC. Good hunting Guy!

Royal Copenhagen turns up reasonably often in my vintage after shave searches. I have been curious about it for a while. Think I will have to pick some up and give it a whirl.

Was the bottle/version you got authentic? I keep reading a lot of reviews on Amazon saying they got some knockoff version.
I'd also like to get one if it's the real deal :)

I love those old lather catchers. I really wanted the "Above them all" inscribed Eagle. Then found out it takes proprietary blades. My heart broke a tiny bit that day.

Yep, it's the real deal. I don't know about any knock-offs but, the Royal Copenhagen that Amazon has is the original stuff. Another place that used to have it was E-Barbershop but, I'm not sure they still have the original stuff . E-Barbershop does have their own brand that are knock-off's of various vintage scents. ;)

Hm, the above them all Eagle razor does look an awful lot like my lather catcher in design.
Mine was also made to be used with wedge blades - BUT it works just fine with regular SE blades. I wonder if the same would work in the Eagle one....

I'm with you on that Gary. It scores at the top in every category, and while there are a few blades that match it in one or two of those nothing matches it in longevity. I've gotten 25 + shaves with every one I've used.

I will be interrupting my regular shaves to try the "Riding the cap" technique with DEs. It was a decent shave.
