    Vie-Long Silver Tip brush
    Schick G5 razor
    Personna blade
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

1st use of the Fume SS from Turkey. Easy to lather, pleasant scent and good results. Have use it some more to be sure but it looks like a keeper. BTW, how do you pronounce Fume anyway?

Clear & cooler here this morning, 27ºF/-3ºC at 06:00. We got a drop or two of rain yesterday, but that was all. The sun is back today and we may see 60ºF/15ºC by this afternoon. The Mitchell's was so nice I decided to do it twice, and the garland was on duty this morning as well. This was the very first straight I ever bought - well before I'd decided to have it honed (thanks again Glen :happy088:) and give the shaving a go, so that may be part of it; but it's also just an incredibly smooth shaving razor. It never fails to impress in that regard, plus it's got a simple, unprepossessing style that just appeals to my eye. Whatever the reasons I love this lil' shaver! Have a good Friday folks.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: GE Jones Shake Sharp, H. Boker Master Razor straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
Cologne: Francis Kirkdjian - Absolue Pour Le Soir

A cold 23 degrees this morning. Brrr! The #6 whipped up the MWF beautifully this morning. I broke out the Shake Sharp for use and paired with the Astra SP it performed well. The Boker did its job with ease. The AV helps to protect my face and the Absole Pour Le Soir brings the funk to my Friday. All in all a Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (5, 6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

Too frustrated and busy yesterday to devote the time to a shave, but I was back at it again today. I combined the new-to-me techniques I'd finally figured out on facial contortions with the insights @maltedmilk listed for the FaTip regarding 'riding the cap' and - thanks in no small part to the excellent prep tools and lather -was rewarded with an extremely comfortable, extremely close BBS result, coupled with the great scent of the One-X and the Jasmin et Cigarette cologne.

Ahh, it is not as easy as it seems when you start out. However when we see current discussions on shave like your grandfather shaved, it was mostly like this. One razor, one blade type, one brush, one soap.
