Thanks! There aren't a lot of the silver or chromium bar handle News around, but I love the way they look. I have one of the ones with the shorter handle in a Norfolk set, but when I saw this full size one in a travel set, I had to have it. Check out the set it came in. I love the comb that tucks away inside the brush. Gillette made the razors, and other companies put together the travel kits.
I think it is time for a Saturday night shave. I will probably check back shortly with a picture. :)

    Sunday

Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, hot shower
CD: Petra ~ Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Ethiopia Illubabor
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood
Brush: Ever Ready 250PB with original knot
    SE: Gem Pushbutton
Blade: Gem, day 3, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickenson's WH + 2 drops TSD M Bomb, Curve, hand strop blade

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

    Outstanding shave.

For those who love menthol, but can't get past the scent of Osage Rub, you gotta try a couple of drops of M Bomb with some witch hazel. Easily as cold as Osage Rub with just two drops (make it as chilly as you want with another drop or two!) and no scent.

    JHL Cologne

What a super shave this morning which I enjoyed so much. Irena's Ginger's Garden Ice Mint soap is a pleasure to lather up with, and the minty scent is gorgeous. The menthol effect is very strong - in fact I would rate it even a little higher than Proraso Green, so it almost deserves the :Animatedfrozensmily:mark. I cannot keep away from the Barbon aftershave and the JHL cologne because I love them so much. By the way, I'm sorry for not showing any pictures! ;)

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Gillette Super Thin
    Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo Boar/Horsehair
Cream/Soap: Portman Square Notting Hill Cream Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Meehan Bay Rhum

Wow--what a nice shave! I had received the Gillette Super Thins as a sample some time ago, but hadn't yet used any of them. The Futur needed its blade changed this morning, so I installed the Gillette blade. It seemed marvelously sharp and smooth, giving an effortless BBS shave. Of course, this is only one shave in a razor that tends to bring out the best in blades, but I'm impressed. Time will tell how many shaves I can get from one of these blades, and I will have to try them with different razors. I believe the blade is made in India, although I could find no information on the pack.

The Portman Square "croap" performed like a champ, and the Meehan Bay Rhum was just the ticket to provide a fine finish.

    Sunday, November 20th

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: Simpson Douglas
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    A/S: Acca Kappa Emulsion

After hearing comparisons between the Polsilver blade and the Super Iridium, I had to give it a try. While the Polsilver is definitely a good blade, my first impression is that it is neither as sharp nor as smooth as the Iridium. Just another case of post Iridium hype IMHO.

I received great lather from the MWF and enjoyed a very good shave.

A Long Sunday Shower and Shave

    My partners

    Assorted Hot/Cold Soaks/Splashes
EBC Preshave with 30 Minute Marinade
    Vulfix 404 Mixed
    MWF
    Gilette 7 o'clock blue (3)
    EJ89
    Witch Hazel
    ISZ Milk
    Aqua Velva Ice Sport

I began to shave with the MWF for the fourth straight day. I built up a nice rich foam and lathered up for an easy wtg pass. I was amazed how smooth my face already felt.

I applied another extra thick coat of lather and was DFS after pass two.

After atg and some touch ups, I was as smooth as silk, this soap seems to work quite nicely with my face.

    Thanx for reading:
