The matching aftershave gel is very cooling and soothing. They are made in Poland, but they were sent to me from Russia.

Don't know why. Maybe it was Jimmie Bratcher in the background diggin' some blues. As I enjoy the scent of lavender in my shave soaps, I picked up a bar of Yardley English Lavender bath soap last night. Used it this morning. Very nice.
Saturday. Cheap stuff. Surrey Soap VdH boar brush Gillette Atra with CVS cartridge Slumming with the cartridge again today. One or two more shaves with this, then back to my injectors. Not a bad shave, not a great one.

Vacation: The Stryker House Day 3 Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug TGN SilverTip ReKnot TOBS Avocado SC Lady Gillette Stars - PINK Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum (2) Cool Water Rinse Victoria's Secret "Candy, Baby" Lotion Pe-Re-Ja Cologne Another great shave with the Super-Max and I can't get enough of the sweet scent of the lotion mixed with the lemony goodness of the cologne. :love008:love008:love008 I did not, however, care for the brush/cream combo. The SilverTip is a very floppy brush and did not lather the cream the way my stiffer Omega Pro Boar lathered it. It was a tad disappointing, but the razor/blade combo and the aromas wafting off me more than make up for it. I suppose it would be safe to say I much prefer a stiff one to a floppy one!!
Saturday, November 20, 2010 Razor: 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable Blade: Astra Superior Platinum Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Cream: Cyril Salter Sublime Citrus A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime I decided to take the '63 Slim for a Saturday spin, and the old razor still has what it takes. The shave was very comfortable and smooth, attaining the DFS+ level. A Slim was my second new razor (the first was a Superspeed) when I was just starting out in the mid to late 1950's. The blades then were not that good, plus I didn't know what I was doing, so a "good shave" then would be considered somewhat crappy now. My aftershave of choice then was Seaforth Spice (#2 was Seaforth Heather). OK, I was a teenager in a small town and didn't know that D.R. Harris, Taylor, etc. even existed.
Saturday Tabac ss EJ89L Lord Platinum (1) Dridecker Special Badger Dickenson Witch Hazel Magic Bump Rescue Balm Skin Bracer as splash Canoe edt Face lathered for the first time today to shake things up a bit. The tabac soap seems to prefer this method as the resulting lather was super slick, much improved over my normal bowl method.
