First shave with this Bostonion I received last week.
Showered and applied Clinique face soap for men To soften whiskers, then rinsed
Astra SP blade, Proraso green tea and oatmeal croap
Cold water rinse, witch hazel and finished with Clinique post shave soother.

How would you compare the Gillette silver blue to say the Astras or Feathers?

    Barbershop Day
Maggard's London Barbershop is excellent in both soap and aftershave. The soap lathers as easily as any other, and provides creamy yogurt like protection and a scent that reminds me of Saturday visits to the local barbershop with my Dad when I was a kid. I would wait my turn, watching Gene the barber cut my Dad's hair and shave his nape with a straight razor. Tarzan movies would be on the eight inch b&w tv in the corner. The whole place would be filled with a scent very much like these products. This shave also reminds me of my Dad because he used a razor very much like this Aristocrat, though his had lost most of its plating by the time I was aware of it.
The aftershave is very skin friendly but those who seek an alcohol slap or menthol blast will not get it here. I love menthol, but I find I don't miss it when my face feels this good.

I like them better than the Astra SP's and Feathers. They were my first 100 blade purchase. They have worked well in all the razors I have tried them in. I can get 7 excellent shaves with on in my Slim. As always, YMMV.

Well rather than going out and getting it, with the temperature and chills you should stay inside and get rid of them.

Get to feeling better my friend!

    Saturday:
hot shower w/Yardley Lemon Verbena bar soap
    Maggard Lime PSO
Gillette '38-'45 Fat Handle Tech 2+ passes
    Feather Hi Stainless Platinum (5)
    Long Handled boar
Derby Lemon cream in a warm bowl
    Thayers Lemon
    Pinaud Lime Sec edc

Very nice shave this morning and surprisingly so. I brought home a Gillette '38-'45 Fat Handle Tech to clean up for an antique dealer to help her sell it and decided to try it to see how it shaved assuming it would be the same as my '46-'50 Fat Handled Tech. Much to my delight it was more aggressive than mine and delivered a closer shave. A friend has already bought it so I'll be keeping my eye out for another one.
