I think it's the Veg! The Doctor prescribes a Hot Toddy.
    • 2 ounces whiskey (we use Jack Daniels)
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 4 ounces water (hot from the tap)
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (we use the stuff in the plastic lemon)
    • 1 slice fresh lemon (if we don't have this we don't use it) (optional)
    Directions:

    1. Place the whisky in a large microwave safe mug.

    2. Add the honey.

    3. Pour the hot water into the mug over the spoon you used for the honey to get off the last little drops.

    4. Add the lemon juice and stir well.

    5. Place the mug in the microwave for 1 minute or until it is piping hot, but not boiling.

    6. Add the lemon slice and serve.

Take one now another at bedtime. Get well soon!

    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

I was down to the last squeeze 1cobigelow2.jpg of the C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream, so I cut it open. 1cobigelow1.jpg The COB face-lathered very easily with my Omega Pro 98 Boar Brush. Two passes with my '47 Gillette Super Speed and Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I've got enough for one more shave. We were at the mall yesterday, so I picked up another tube of COB to finish off NOVember.

These days I'm using stuff which I've neglected for a while so I can finish them off to make some room for new purchases in the future. The Godrej Menthol Mist is one of the finest creams out of India - so easy to lather with a powerful menthol effect which lingers after a cold water rinse. This cream also gives awesome blade glide which makes it so easy to get a great shave. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt so nice and cool afterwards, and two good slaps of the Rubby Dubby Doo made the end of this wonderful shave feel heavenly. ;) :D

    Hey Friends,

    just endet a great shave:

    Soap: Cella Crema da Barba
    Brush: Plisson Synthetic
Razor: iKon S3S Head with a Jürgen Hempel Handle
    Blade: Permasharp
Aftershave: Cold River Soapworks "Puro Fresco"Aftershave Balm

Wonderful. The Cella has a very very nice scent and gave me a fantastic lather. My new Plisson brush has created lather for 4+ passes. A brush with nearly no backbone but it feels wonderful on the skin.

At last i used my Cold River Soapworks Aftershave Balm which gave my skin a great skincare and which has an awesome scent.

A picture of the things i used will follow later that day. I have to go to work in a few minutes.

Have a great time and enjoy your shaves. Take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
Blade: Big Ben Super Stainless (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Le 3e Homme d' Caron by Caron

Skipping yesterday's shave gave me plenty of stubble to work with, and the One-X croap really lathered up nicely to set that stubble up. I was surprised at how well the Big Ben performed this AM on its maiden voyage, as the Super Stainless blades are usually not my favorites; there was still something less 'satisfying' about the blade than when I use a Chrome Platinum blade, but it's hard to put a finger on. Three passes produced BBS results without any hot spots, irritation, or bloodshed, and the One-X aftershave and Third Man cologne leave my skin feeling and smelling good.

    Sunday 11/23/14

    Prep: glycerin soap
    Pre-Shave Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery
    Razor: Fat Boy
    Blade: voskhod
Lather: Geo. F. Trumper Violet w/ Rose of Bulgaria & Glycerin
    Post: Alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic Rose scented
    A/S: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
Balm: Avon Musk Marine After Shave Conditioner

Trumper's violet works very well with Rose of Bulgaria. I had a very slick lather and a very good 3 pass shave. The fat boy works o.k., but I think I'll change razors once this blade is finished.

    ∙Fatip/Slim
∙1960s Personna stainless (a fairly mild blade)
    ∙TSD vetiver, Omega brush

Tried the Fatip one more time, "riding the cap" as some advised me to do. Helped a little but not enough to matter in the end. Still scrapey-feeling. Got halfway through and dropped the blade into a Slim on 5...felt like bliss. DFS+.

    No a/s because...Fatip. [IMG] http://the-magi.us/images/f-icons/act09.gif
