I hope everyone in the USA enjoyed their Thanksgiving. :eatdrink023:I am originally from Canada but my aunt and my sister are both married to American gents and are living in the USA.

I think the bad Voodoo magic may have subsided today and I am happy to report that I did not get a visit from the not-so-jolly Old Saint Nick-All-Us!! Luckily, the only red I saw was on the end of my Flare Tip Super Speed. But it was weird this morning... Just before I lathered up I turned off the tap but could still hear a water noise. I looked out the window and saw huge rain shower pounding up against the side of my high rise. Then just as I was about to put the razor against my face... a small flash of lightning. :signs136: Very strange as we are well into November and thunderstorms are quite rare. :signs002: The battle was on... :duel: Although I was shaving quite carefully I still managed to snag the skin on my chin. Dang! I sat there staring at my chin for about 20 seconds or so to see if there would be any blood. As luck would have it, I managed to avoid even a weeper. Phew! :) Hopefully the curse is now broken and we can all go back to enjoying our shaves. :D

    Cheers, everyone!

Yes, strange, untimely weather here last night too. Rain, temperature went from 70F to mid 30's in a couple of hours time and lots of lightening but no thunder, so the actual strom was a ways off. Now cold and windy, the Yorkie seemed glad to do his business and get back in the house this morning.

But this morning's shave was warm and smooth. It was mostly as TBS Maca Root product affair.
a warm water face wash was with their face wash product
then more warm water and their save oil
then the always present Proraso pre/post cream
back to TBS for their Maca root shave cream. Lots of nice lather with the AOS badger brush
the EJ 89 with the Sputnik blade just floated through the wiskers WTG and XTG only two passes today.
And yes the evil days that had been upon us seem to be over for not a nick and no parts feel off (all ears, nose and other bit still connected)
Followed up with warm and cool water splash and TBS razor defense

All in all a pleasant shave with a nice DFS to show for it.

    • Prep: Brush soaking in COLD water, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, luke warm shower
    • Razor: Gillette NEW short comb mounted to T2 Handle
    • Blade: Personna Med Prep
    • Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar
    • Cream: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus with added Menthol
    • AS: Mennen Skin Bracer with added Menthol
    • Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave
It has been a few days since I have had a cold water shave and I really needed to wake my up this morning. The Proraso, cold water and a few drops of my menthol infused glycerin provided enough freeze to wake me up and then some.

My buddy Seth inspired me to use the NEW today, after his SOTD and the dialogue we had. It is almost impossible for me not to get a good shave with the NEW short comb and today was no different. The hair came off like a hot knife through butter.

I am really liking the Skin Bracer, no wonder it is almost always sold out every time I run to the store.

No pic since I'm on vaca but the shave was great after my barbershop shave debacle.

Preshave - warm shower, noxema face wash
    Shave cream -C.O. Bigelow
    Brush - Tweezerman
    Blade - Shark Super Chrome
    Razor - Gillette Superspeed
    Aftershave - Pinaud Clubman

I must say that after using proraso sandalwood and now C.O. Bigelow I prefer the menthol. After a terrible shave but great experience at the barber shop I was looking forward to this shave. It was a DFS almost BBS and I'm loving it.

Day 2 in Thailand on vacation Proraso pre shave and Mike's Pepermint shave stick followed up with Pinaud. I brought my 'Merkur 38C with Feather blades. My travel brush is my Omega boar. Wanted to use my Chanel Egoiste but seemed like a waste after applying the eau du Off.

    Tomorrow back to QCS Vostoc

Bozzano Sensitive SC :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:

Although the Shark blade is pretty well at the end of its life it still gave me a surprisingly good shave and left me about 99% BBS. The Bozzano Sensitive cream is pretty cold - I would definitely rate it as Level B Freezing. Needless to say, the Anherb conditioner and the Rub are in a class of their own because it's not easy to beat them! ;) :D
