My wife wanted me to hurry because we are invited to my inlaws today for Sunday brunch, but I insisted on taking my time and having my relaxing and soothing Sunday Straight Razor Shave which I look forward to the whole week. I love this Aspis cream so much - not only does it smell awesome and lather rich and thick, it feels so cool and fresh on my face - Level B on the Cracky Wacky Menthol Scale. My dear friend Veli in Bulgaria sent it to me. :) The Svoboda balsam was introduced to me by another dear friend of mine in Russia who we all know and love! ;) :D

    Muhle R106
    Manchurian Colonel
    Gillette Spoiler
    Martin de Candre
    Lucido AS
    Proraso ASB

It was a lovely Sunday shave this morning. I took my time on a 3 pass BBS. The Martin de Candre is such a delight to use and I am happy to say my bathroom now smells of French Lavender. :) The Muhle has been tucked away for quite a while, as I mostly bring it out when travelling, but it still is the top performer out of all my DEs! I used the Proraso balm a few minutes after the Lucido, its dry here now so I needtye extra boost of moisture for my skin.

    Happy Sunday everyone! :D

    5/8 Spear
    TOBS Sandalwood SC
    24mm brush
    Proraso Blue AS balm

This one is quite a bit different than the razors I've been using all week. Very finely hollow ground "singing" razor. The shave could have been better. The razor was fine but post shave, my skin is very dry. Well, that's the end of the TOBS Sandalwood SC sample anyway. I'll try it with a different soap or cream tomorrow. Have a good one.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Pre-Shave Lather: None
    Shave Lather: Mystic Water Rosalimone
    Razor: Merkur 38M
    Blade: Racer Super Stainless (1)
    Brush: Vulfix 660S Medium
Post: Witch Hazel/Vodka/Aloe/Glycerin mixture followed by White Musk ASB by The Body Shop

I'm getting a very comfortable, smooth shave with these Racer blades and using Mystic Water only makes it better. I could hardly feel the blade as it skated across my face, I had no weepers or nicks and only the smallest amount of irritation on my way to a shave that's just short of a BBS. I did not expect this from a 6¢ blade.

This Vulfix brush is a replacement for one that was a major shedder. The first one I had was losing 5 to 10 hairs a shave, even 5 months after getting it. This new one does not shed as much, but I'm still losing 4 to 7 hairs a shave. I won't be buying Vulfix again.

Preshave - Hot shower, Noxema Face Wash
    Brush - VDH cheapo Boar
    Cream - Proraso Red (Sandalwood)
    Blade - SuperMax Super Platinum
    Razor - Gillette SS
    A/S - Brut

Not to bad of a shave. Three pass with touchups. I find that my VDH Boar is breaking in nicely and has finally stopped shedding. I can't complain to much about it since it was my first brush and the price. I got a DFS with the SuperMax Platinum but there are some rough patches.
