    Today's Shave: 1 November 2018
    • Prep: Warm water wash with Softsoap Aloe Vera soap
    • Cream: King of Shaves AlphaGel Sensitive
    • Brush: None--it's brushless cream.
    • Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable
    • Blade: Van der Hagen
    • After Shave Lotion: Wrangler
    Today continues the mission of using up unloved products in my Shave Den, starting with my least favorite stuff and working up from there.

    Actually got a very good shave today. With the AlphaGel, I got a very mediocre two-pass shave with the Slim set on 2. After a rinse-off and relather--er, reapplication--I opened the Slim up to 3 for a third pass. Bingo!

    This had to be the first time I've ever used the VdH blades without any discomfort whatsoever. The AlphaGel, however, clogged the razor badly, as usual, and I had to take out the blade twice mid-shave for a rinse-out.

    Super shave with the efficient yet smooth Dart. 2 passes, WTG-ATG and it was a done deal. A fabulous feeling BBS finish and a post shave feel that is second to none.
