    Sink of lukewarm water
    warm mug and synth brush
williams soap and herbs of bulgaria lavender
dollar tree TTO 9 or 10 use derby premium blade
    woody's a/s
    old spice clone

prewash with warm water, whipped up a mug of lather.did my usual 3 passes and came to the conclusion that this derby premium blade is finished...face is reddened in some areas and stubble is detectable by touch.a cool rinse and application of woody's and old spice w/a few drops of glycerin to calm down the redness.and headed off to work.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20181121_093015.jpg

Prep: Mickey Lee Sandalwood Pre shave butter
    Razor: RR DE1
    Blade: GSB
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Soap Smooth Pumpkin
    Post: CB LPV A/S

Fairly decent shave this morning. Managed a DFS, the razor privided a mild efficent shave with no real trouble. Soap Smooth Pumpkin is not as spicy as most pumpkin scents which in this case is a good thing. This is the vegan formula, not bad by any means, but not as good IMO as the War Blend formula. Lather whipped up with no issues. Finished off with LPV aftershave which paired well with the soap, plus the scent lasts a long while for a aftershave. Hope everyone has a safe Thanksgiving!

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Blade - [IMG]
    Soap - Stirling Sheep
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Boy when the gods are in a good mood they're in a good mood. The Toggle with Port au Prince soap, Rapira blade and a Jayaruh brush last night. Tonight they hand me the Fatboy, Stirling Sheep, the Wolf and the Ladas stainless Muscovite blade. Good grief. I'm almost embarrassed by the wealth of greatness here. Almost. I'm not going to look a gift setup in the mouth.

The Fatboy, of course, was the winner in the early adjustable sweepstakes by Gillette. The Toggle was first but the design of the Fatboy won out. I'm still looking for a bottom dial fattie that is less than several thousand dollars to try and snap up. The Ladas - fantastic blade and the lather from the silvertip brush and mutton tallow soap was beyond decadent. I see a lot of mutton tallow in my future in December.

Well, it's the eve of Thanksgiving. Hope you all have some relaxing and fruitful plans for your holiday tomorrow here in the U.S. For those of you elsewhere I hope you have some fruitful and productive plans, or hey, if you can get away with relaxing then go for it!

This was the first time using it and I thought it was pretty good. The scent was relatively strong, it loaded quick, and lathered great. It felt a bit greasier then what I am used to, but nothing bad. My skin felt good post shave. The scent is strong on the apple side and definitely smelled better when lathered, as with most soaps. It became a bit sweeter and one can detect a bit of vanilla. My wife really liked it. This season I bought Cider House 5 & Old Orchard Cider - which are also apple based. I think I like the PAA the best overall and it is the most complex. The Oleo is second and WTF is very close to it. I thought Oleo would be my favorite from the scent off the puck, but the scent seemed to lose it's strength and heavy richness component once lathered. WTF improved during the shave once lathered up. I think the Oleo base was just a bit better overall. Nevertheless, all three are fine soaps.
