Great shave. Felt a bit odd going back to the regular Rockwell 6S after using the Jet Black, but was still a great shave.

Drizzle ...
Insufficient to emotionally define the day.
From this derives the choice of gear: I used an almond scent, but not because I wanted an almond scent: I could have used the MWF or the Karitè, but they were too 'cheerful'.
On the other hand, the fragrances of Floris, Knize Ten or Scheermonnick were emotionally out of role.

For a wide bowl ... a big knot.
And a nicely delicate and heavy razor to work in my place, suitable for a nice sharp blade.

Pertucciani's fingers flew over the keyboard as I lost myself in a cloud of vetiver giving a little certainty to an uncertain day.

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds to load the Maggard 2-Band Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna 74 Tungsten in the vintage Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Barbershop aftershave.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Gold Gem Featherweight razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
